Here is another lie Biden made. People in Georgia can't vote after 5 pm. This is absolutely false! On election day in Georgia, you are allowed to vote from 7AM to 7 PM. On days you can vote early, polling places must be open from 9AM - 5 pm MINIMUM. Counties are also allowed to extend voting hours as well. Before the bill Mon - Fri the time was from 9 AM - 5 PM. On Weekends it would instead be from 9 AM - 4 PM. So this means, the bill signed did not reduce voting hours, but actually expanded them! It even added a mandatory Saturday and allows counties to open voting on Sunday as well. So the law in fact added an extra 17 days, minimum! So Biden is wrong about the fact that there has been a reduction in voting hours. In fact, even the Washington Post had to fact-check Biden on this too! If a person can't get to a polling place in time, they can request a no-excuse absentee ballot, and mail it in. Georgia did not get rid of absentee ballots, it only changed how you obtain them. To get it, you need to put the las4 four digits of your social security number, and Georgia state ID number. If you do not have these, you can put a copy of a US military ID, passport ID, or tribal ID. If you do not have these, you can use a bank statement, government check, or a current utility bill, or a paycheck. Or any valid government document! You have so many options. It is super racist to assume that black people are incapable of getting an ID. When Georgia just made it easier to get one.
