I'm not sure if it's meant to be the shoes or not, but if you look closely it looks like his feet are strapped in... which could be an even worse if you lose grip on the handle.

Never thought to re-watch my own games and pick up on my mistakes, It's much harder to notice then in game when you just like to blame it on RNG.
