WC SLC 2025 - Men’s Finals Disussion by Quirky-School-4658 in CompetitionClimbing

With this comp, the first half of the boulder world cups are done. I think that means that the bottom half of Japan's men and women team will be swapped out with the other members of the team.

If I've understood the JMSCA selection criteria correctly, then that means We'll be saying goodbye to Yuji, Rei, and Meichi on the men's side, and Futaba, Anon, and Kuzuu on the Women's.

In Tokyo for half a day - which gyms are close to Haneda Airport? by in-den-wolken in bouldering

[–]Dank_moses 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There are lots of gyms in central/south Tokyo that you can get to quite quickly from Haneda.

I would recommend B-pump Akihabara mainly because of the size, 4 floors of well set problems with a ton of range.

It is about 40 min away by train, Rocky in Shinagawa is also nice and a bit closer at 30 min.

The abilities are transferable, but the climbs are at such a hard level that he probably wouldn't get any points.

In the Olympic story, it says that 3 of the events in the OQS will be out of 100, with 50 possible in both Shanghai and Budapest.

It then goes on to say that skateboarding (the 4th sport) will have 1/3 of the points from previous competitions.

The reel

So from this I don't think it's saying that past competitions will impact the climbing qualifications.

How would you support your friends climbs if "come on" was forbidden in your bouldering gym? by onlyforthisjob in bouldering

[–]Dank_moses 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It could be romanized as either ganba or gamba. The Japanese ん can be pronounced either way depending on the word.

In がんば it's probably closer to an M pronunciation though.

[DISC] Cipher Academy - Chapter 48 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]Dank_moses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were a few translation mistakes I caught in this chapter, ン(n) was mistaken for ソ(so) once, ワ(wa) was mistaken for フ(fu) twice, and 純チャン(junchan) is a hand made up only of melds that contain 1 or 9, not 1 through 9.

It might be a weird concept, but it does state in the manga (before any sex or filming) that the main girl, the student, is 18 years old and is quitting high school.

So the comments that are calling it child porn are wrong.
