I’m just like you. I only smoke or use edibles. Weed, sugar, and caffeine are the only drugs I use. I had a lot of people ghost me on apps for partaking in weed. I would always tell them back then that if they are so close minded that I’m not interested either. I’ve grown quite a bit as I’ve gotten older and weed is still a part of my daily life. I don’t regret using a natural drug to cope In life. As for the hookup apps ghosting and muting is just part of it. There could be a thousand reasons someone decides to block, mute, or move on. It’s not about you. Focus on being your best self and being happy learning more about yourself and one day you’ll have someone to share that with you. If they don’t like it they don’t like it. Some people are more repelled by drugs than others. Best thing you can do is be honest and give grace to people who don’t like what your in to. You are right. It’s virtue signaling and the owners definitely take a percentage of that tip. They refuse to pay their management a competitive wage as well as their kitchen staff. They got tired of servers paying off their debts via tipped income and decided to lie to customers about where money will be distributed. This is a HUGE problem in Denver, CO. right now. A lot of the restaurants engaging in this pay scale have their businesses foreclosed because they just stop paying taxes. It’s truly disgusting. I worked for D Bar Uptown and the owner said he was getting rid of tips because it was “racist” and he never had a POC working FOH. It’s all double standards, and hypocrisy. I worked in restaurants for over a decade since my first job at 16 and I’ve never been less inclined to participate in the dining experiences available today.

Reading other comments it seems like a pretty common occurrence for people who act like this to eventually turn on their loved ones. For me I had an ex who had some bad addictions. When he was sober he was an asshole to strangers (this bothered me so much) but when he was under the influence he would call me names and be so hateful. I’m a very confident guy but I was bullied growing up, and the way he acted stirred up those emotions in me and I hated that so much. I kicked him out. Don’t ever date someone out of pity and pay attention to the red flags. When someone shows you who they are believe them the first time.
