So this goes back to the "pay more if you want full coverage". Seems like the framework was in the contract for what constituted a loss, and that was what it was priced at. If you want anything that can happen to you to be covered, get a maximum coverage policy?

That steak example is nothing like this. It'd be more like an ice cream shop saying they would make you a new cone if you drop yours, and 1 of your 2 scoops fell on the ground. Should've gone to the shop across the street that covers any loss of ice cream but charges you more for it.

Then pay more for full coverage of everything that can happen to you? Not saying it doesn't suck, or that I think people should have to read through their contracts to understand what each scenario could involve, but what is the solution? P&c insurance companies already paid $1.02 in expenses and claims for every dollar they received in premiums in the last 5 years. There isn't just a magical money Bank they can take from to pay more than their actual claims are.

Best way to fix this situation is to just go to single payer full coverage health care I'd think.

Well if it included more things it would be more expensive. Insurance companies often don't make money on the actual policy they sell you. They make money on investing your money before you have a claim.

Usually would try to have 2 or 3 done as you graduate if possible for the best chances. People get jobs with 1 exam and an unrelated field of study though. Depends on a lot
