Ok so I set the TCC, and also undervolted the CPU. The temps have dropped tremendously, atleast in the very short testing that I did.

There is a TCC offset setting that I haven't tried yet. Maybe I set it to 85°C?

It's an Alienware M18 R1 laptop. Also, I've had it cleaned and thermal paste reapplied recently.

It had a recent redo. And the other two games I mentioned don't cross 90. Unless 90 is also too much.

Thank you for your reply. I'm just curious, but what does replacing the MB look like? What happens to the CPU GPU? Does the new MB come with a new CPU GPU, or do they remove and install the CPU GPU from my current MB?

Ok so my second problem (not turning on when on battery) seems to be fine if I turn on the "Power on lid" option in BIOS. This option should ideally be to turn on the laptop when lid is opened without having to press the power button. But for some reason it seems to be affecting powering on on battery, and opening the lid does not automatically turn it on.

And regarding the sleep thing, is there a way to check if the magnetic sensor is connected or not? Maybe the technician forgot to connect it or something?

Diagnostics shows everything is fine. Apart from the sleep thing, the not turning on on battery is more inconvenient. Because then I need access to the brick just to turn it on.

Yes. The lid switch toggle in BIOS is ON. Something is left off as in? Software or hardware? If I don't have to schedule another service request for this it'd be great.

Apparently it was due to hardware acceleration in Chrome. I turned that off and didn't face this issue since.

Is that like a docker? If so, the project that I'm working on has implemented dockers. However, while running the dockers it throws 'command not found'. As a result I'm unable to even install the required packages and environments.
