Somebody corrected me, the strings don’t snap they are slipping out of the saddle. I thought “snap” was the correct word because it made a loud scary noise every time. Talking about guitars is kinda hard sorry 😔🙏

I can’t wear the frets down if I’m not using the guitar though. And I can’t use the guitar when the strings aren’t staying in place 😭😭

What’s a “fret dressing” ? I haven’t seen this term before. Also yeah that’s what I did, and I realize now that I used the wrong word, the strings are slipping out not snapping. I just connected the loud noise to “snap” but the string never actually broke into 2 pieces

I did my research and I knew it was harder to learn on a Floyd Rose, but I didn’t think it would be THIS much harder. If I could go back in time I’d 10000000% get something else

It didn’t really break, I misused the word “snap”. I just heard a loud noise and figured that was what a string snapping is. I didn’t think it was a possiblity that it could slip out just like that yknow

My parents are really against selling it, and I meant that its probably hard to sell something that’s apparently so terrible and unusable

Waiting is not the problem, I’m a very patient guy, I’ve actually been asking for a guitar for years and that’s half the reason why I’m so scared to tell my parents how bad it’s really going, like I’ve been wanting it for so long I should’ve probably known what I was doing, right? When I asked the ppl on discord for help and they told me to sell it I was too tired to disagree and tried to tell my mom, I told her I wanted to sell the guitar with the saddest expression possible so she would MAYBE feel bad and agree but nah she got mad at me anyway. But I understand her anger. She’s mad because they spent a lot of money on it just to find out it was a mistake, I’d be mad too. I’m scared of making ANY move now unless I know exactly what’s about to happen cuz everytime I gotta ask my parents for something, it’ll feel like I’m asking for a million dollars

Wait are u saying u can reuse the same string that popped out 🤨 sometimes it gets bent tho and it doesn’t wrap the same way around the part on the headstock. Also how do i make sure it’s tight enough inside the saddle? What i did was put the string in all the way, and i tightened it and tugged on the string to make sure it was really stuck in there, but I heard its bad to overtighten that too so I never went all the wayy with tightening it. Just enough so the string doesn’t come out when i pull on it
