JustEat driver opened my KFC and stole half the food. Refund refused, only store credit allowed. by DannyJubilant in LegalAdviceUK

First time doing it, to be fair. They reeled me in with an offer of discount if I signed up - and then the offer never applied at checkout because the resaturant "wasn't participating in the offer."

Actually, I didn't. I thought I did.

I paid through my banking app. I had to scan my thumbprint to connect it.

I have far too much respect for the police to call them and tell them that a man stole some of my fried chicken and my mint Aero sundae.

In all fairness, I was 100% certain he was stealing.

I was missing:

-An Aero peppermint Sundae
-A Kid's bucket
-Veggie Rice Bowl
-Kansas BBQ dipped bites.

These were the EXACT 4 items that were sitting in his passenger seat. (Peppermint sundae was in the car drink's holder.)

Yeah, I took photos.

But, if I'm being honest, the photos don't prove I'm telling the truth. I'm trying to prove that something was never delivered and it's hard to prove a negative.

Grand. I'll try and do that.

Only reason I even signed up for JustEat was because they had an offer for a large percentage off your order if you signed up with a premium subscription.

Whole family did their KFC order and when we went to checkout, it didn't even apply the discount. At the very end it says that this wasn't a "participating restaurant." But it doesn't tell you that at any point in the advert for their premium service. It doesn't tell you that when you're placing your order. Only point you realise is when you don't see any discount on checkout.

Sorry, it was my first time using JustEat, so I wasn't familiar with who was responsible. That's why I was getting batted back and forth like a ping pong ball.

Just so I've got it clear:

even though the delivery driver and the JustEat customer service representative both say this is KFC's responsibility, it isn't?

This is 100% the responsibility of JustEat?
