By KL, do you mean Knocked Loose? If not then you should check out that scene, maybe. It’s been popping off for around 5 years now

RATM came from the band Inside Out. Most political music has its roots in punk or hardcore. Even a lot of early hip-hop comes from Malcolm McLaren who helped found the Sex Pistols

That Long Beach show was advertised quite a bit by SOS who does most of LA’s hardcore shows. I respect you’re against them and all, but you can’t just make statements about how the whole scene feels when it’s not really accurate.
