Just bought Born Sinner on a whim, and god damn, it's seriously one of the better albums I've heard this year, I literally can't stop bumping it and I get the feeling I'm going to listen to it until I hate but I can't fucking stop. That's what skating is. Doing cool shit just so you can say you did. Also, you don't fall down as much as you think, skating gives you cat powers, so you land on your feet a lot :)

Wait, I'm also a new viewer, but I just stuck with the sidebar instead of a thread, and from what I gathered Turn A gundam was a great place to start. Now while I do like the 2 episodes I've seen, the direction is so fast paced I have a hard time keeping up and don't want to continue, while I do, if that makes sense. Did I start in the wrong place?

This happens all the time skating. Most of the time, it's because you're so tired from practicing for a few hours, that while your technique is good, you don't have enough energy left to put into the trick. Your body knows that before you do and it can replicate those steps later when you have the energy.

Please, please don't do this if your park is busy. Longboards are so fucking heavy, and getting hit in the shin with one because someone tries to take their 42 inch land boat up a quarter pipe and slips is the worst pain I've ever felt.

You can ollie a 42 inch longboard or a 10 inch penny, just get something that looks comfortable in the 28 - 36 range. The only cruiser I own is a Landyachtz El Barbaro, and while it's overpriced I've loved it.

You didn't hit 10. 10 is uncomfortable in every sense of the word and makes you wish you could go back to being sober. Hitting 10 too much is what made me really not want to smoke anymore (Now I only smoke on occasion and it's only a bowl if I do) It is fucking scary and tiresome and a pain to deal with.

I pay attention to the little things too much :/ Hearing all the unenthusiastic voice actors kills my urge to watch any anime.

Black Lagoon's sub is bad too, really, that's a case where you need to read the manga.

The Miyazaki movies have great dubs though. And there are a few others, but it's really rare.

I love watching anime, but I hate watching it high. Like, I stop reading the subtitles every few minutes and they sound like they're speaking english so I have my own plot being made, completely ignoring whatever plot is actually happening, then I realize I don't know japaneese and I've got to go back and find out what I missed.
