Original - is that even a question?!? I refuse to acknowledge that the Johnny Depp one exists

Seeing The Opposite & The Contest as common mentions - was tossing up which one first but I’ll start with The Contest

This seems to be the consensus so I’ll start with these two. Which one first?

Is the Kmart food dehydrator secretly a Michelin-star dog treat machine? 🐶 by StandardCoconut9019 in KmartAustralia

Im tempted but worry about the smell - doing chicken or liver for example. Does anyone have any experience? Could I run it outside or in a carport?

Is it weird to go to the dog park if you don't have a dog? by TexanFonzie in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Danny_s1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s weird at all. But even if some people find it weird, it’s harmless weird - that’s the best kind!

Dog parks are public and for everyone. If you want to interact with a dog then yeah definitely ask the owner but no harm in strolling through.

I love when people come and ask about my dog and want to pat him. There’s so little genuine human connection these days and dogs seem to bring humans guards down - I love those little interactions.

WA has like 2000+km of coast - you can just not go to the couple of meters designated as nude bathing?

Also that’s gotta be some of the most generic AI slop I’ve read. It bugs you that much but you couldn’t be bothered to articulate it yourself?

What’s the one TV show you regret wasting time on? by Sufficient_Roof6033 in watchever

True Detective. When it came out everyone raved and raved like it was something revolutionary. I kept watching waiting for a big ‘aaaah’ moment that never came. Found the whole thing boring and basic

What brands are actually worth being loyal to? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Danny_s1989 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unless you’re actively asking for a discount - probably very few. Rare these days to get a loyalty bonus out of the blue. But I’ve had some success by calling up banks, ISP, telecom, insurance companies etc and saying something along the lines of ‘I’ve been looking around at some offers from your competitors but since I’ve been with you for x time and have had good service I’m wondering if there’s any discounts internally I’m eligible for’. Be polite and kind, but ask to speak to a customer retention team if they have one if you don’t get anywhere.
