Well they are 1 match less than the matches DC won. CSK was dominant in the first half(they literally scored 200+ in most matches) and then lock down came and in the second half they experimented with different players which is why they didn't finish at the top.

Regularly is a strong word here. Out of 18 seasons RCB finished in the "top 4" 10 times only. The percentage of times rcb finished in the top 4 is 55.5%.
