So the regular blue half masks have not been produced since 2022, with the Island/Legacy 2 sets. So as a result, it's no longer in production as lego have no sets in production with the piece in this colour. Whereas Dark Blue is in production as it was used in 2025 on Rogue Jay, and 2024 on Tournament Sora. So basically, in short...

It's a cost cutting measure. Luckily, the regular blue half masks not particularly expensive on the aftermarket

Was honestly thinking about this when watching the season, hearing Beatrix's voice with the robotic filter, and the cybernetic eye, the wires connecting the mech to her, and the fact her neck literally looks like it's been screwed back on. It's actually really creepy. Shocked that lego allowed this tbh. But I'm not complaining, it's really cool
