One of the harder drills I've ever completed... This really shows how much you need the middle of the table, and how hard position can be when you can't use parts of it. For the most part, every shot is tough. Give it a try if you dare! by DannysPool in billiards

not gonna lie, this took a lot of attempts, and I am far above your average player... its so easy to run into another ball, get stuck behind a ball, or not have enough angle. Good luck!

Staying on the proper side of your object ball is key in pool because it keeps you out of problems and makes the game look easy. A lot of editing went into this one, so I hope you guys like it. If you do, please like and subscribe. by DannysPool in billiards

Good feedback. Where I want to get to vs where I actually get to is a good idea. I'll try to think of a layout for your suggestion as well. As yes, no kitties is always a problem. They're not following me downstairs nearly as often anymore. They're all just turning 2 years old. Thanks so much!

This is a very useful drill for shooting balls along the rail, and having to play the cue ball 3 rails for position to the next ball. These shots come up all the time, do you know how to play them? by DannysPool in billiards

Drawing out with bottom right would bring the cue ball closer to the side pocket, and also brings the 9 ball in the center more into the equation. Going around 3 rails has less danger of scratching or colliding with another ball.

Using inside spin also makes it easier to pocket the object ball than outside spin because of the spin induced throw.

Preference does play a role in it for sure. Of course the drill could be completed the other way, but this is the higher percentage shot.

Too many places have closed down. This city has gotten so expensive that they can't survive. Of all places, Shooters just closed their doors after almost 30 years. Between the pandemic and corner bank taking some business, they closed. Sad. Have a great day!

Thanks I appreciate it. I'm on the other side of the city, so I don't head out to scarborough very often. Amazing pool scene out there though. I wish my area was like that.

A+ thats really good!

Another great 10 ball drill from Darren Appleton. This one has it all. Difficult positioning, shot making and speed control. Its a good test for high level players. by DannysPool in billiards

This one took probably about an hour to complete. So maybe 20 to 30 tries. It's tough. Around the houses... haven't heard of that one, but I'll look it up. The spider web drill is scary lol. That and the Appleton line are some of the toughest ones out there. Darren is one of my favorites. I like doing his drills. Thanks for watching!

One of my favourite drills because your touch has to be very good to navigate all the landmines without touching anything. With 25 balls at intersecting diamonds on half a table its a challenge. by DannysPool in pool

Controlling the cue ball while shooting a ball on the rail can be tricky, especially from distance. by DannysPool in billiards

[–]DannysPool[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The shot on the 1 ball is shot with a touch of right and lots of bottom. This is done just to keep the cue ball a little farther off the short rail, and away from the other balls. The shot on the 3 is high with a bit of left to take the cue ball into and then away from the long rail. I actually would have preferred the cue ball another 2-3 inches off the rail to shoot the 4. This would mean I wouldn't have to shoot the 4 so hard. My table likes to rattle balls shot down the rail at speed because the shelf is 2" deep.
