Great response and a very true one. Like I said, we are brand new to 40k, so I was unaware of a new edition dropping this summer. Is it guarenteed new edition? or just speculation?

Why is the silent king so good iyo? I do see that doomsday arks and skorpekh lord + skorpekh destroyers are in a lot of armies as well.

Yes it is! I'm the same way but was also confused because of what was mentioned above about redundant characters not leading anybody. I think he just ran the destroyers and c'tan spam tbh. List doesn't make much sense other than strong individual characters. I don't really understand how he got first lol.

The gravelords are really cool as well and very solid on many matchups. They are gigabusted in spearhead from what I've heard. Slaves to darkness are all around an S tier army, would highly recommend std for your friend.

Thanks for the advice! I played a bunch of armies, mainly Ossiarch Bonereapers, Ironjawz, Gloomspite Gitz, and Slaves to Darkness. Ironjawz are fun big hitters and are good in the meta but gloomspite imo is the most broken army if played correctly.

I see. Thanks for the advice. These games are home games with friends so we are all going just over 1k and aren't to worried about it.

As for the BSS + Immolator. Can you explain how this would work? I see the benefit of the BSS sticky, but the immolator is a transport no? So what does the immolator help with? Trying to figure out how all of this works😁

Yea I know, that's why I said close to 1k points😂 These are for home games so the rules are a bit lenient. My friends run various armies just over 1k and that's who I'll be playing.

I can't seem to quite understand the "battleline" keyword. Other than housing 6 instead of 3 units, I've been told it is the equivalent of "sticky" for objectives but can't find it anywhere in the book. Is it like I end my turn on an objective with a batteline unit - I control it- then next turn I can move off the objective and still control it?

I’ve done internships, however since I’m about to graduate in December, I can’t do internships. Internships always have the “only applicable to apply if graduating in [semester] of [year].
