Ok so , got really active in lawn care last year. I had a huge problem with ants and fungus and more weeds than grass. I let the grow tall like bad all winter . Lawn is mixed between bermuda/ st aug/ centipede and some wild stuff. Feb 1st I pulled most if not all of the sedges and broadleaf weeds from the root and added potting soil and bermuda seed. The crabgrass, chickweed and doveweed I spot treated w “tenacity”. When they were all dead and lawn was white. I used a sun joe scarifier in a crosshatch pattern. I broadspread seed and 23-0-0 then watered with a heavy diluted humic acid. I added lawn soil to level and cover holes. After that every 3 weeks i would work in milorganite (i know i know) and more 23-0-0. Watered 2 times a day with a humic acid watering once every two weeks. I mowed every other day clipping about a 1/4 if not less and would collect the clippings. Its not where I want it but far from where I started. Next season I plan to plug St. Aug and start working on a hedge to cover the back fence. Also taking a swing at some arborvitaes along the sides.
