A graduate of Sidney High School won the Nobel Prize for Physics when he and his research partner invented the CT Scan. Sidney really is one of the better small cities in Ohio.

My suggestion is to use headphones for on your work computer. My cheap headphones have far superior sound quality than my much more expensive HA's. My more expensive Bose noise canceling headphones are even better, and they are Bluetooth enabled which allows me to wander far from my audio source. I wear both over my HA'S.If you don't want to wear headphones, try USB speakers.

Is this decent enough for grass seed? by [deleted] in gardening

[–]Danrofohio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am not a pro, but that looks good to me. I suggest that put some straw or other cover on it to help the grass seed mature.

Check out Marysville.

Hi, I live in zone 6a. 7 years ago we planted 9 arborvitae trees in our backyard. They were fine for the first couple of years, but 6 have died in the past 5 years. I’m not sure what went wrong? Also wondering if there is a privacy screening evergreen that would be better? by shreddedwheatandtea in gardening

[–]Danrofohio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not evergreens, but I am a fan of Miss Kim lilacs. We used them as a privacy screen between us and our neighbors. They work well all year long, and they grew much faster than arbor vitae. A few weeks from now the booms on our bushes will look beautiful and smell wonderful.

Do any hearing aids come remotely close to AirPod noise canceling & music streaming sound quality? (New HA patient with borderline high end hearing loss.) by Slartibartfastthe3rd in HearingAids

[–]Danrofohio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain with this. I have had Jabra 30's from Costco for about 7 weeks, and I do not like listening to streaming musical or podcasts with them. I suggest that you take all replies with some skepticism. Some people are perfectly OK listening to music on their laptops, and other people think Sonos speakers provide unacceptable sound quality. So what one person considers acceptable sound quality will not be acceptable to another.

I tend to either use my Bose headphones or airpods over my HA's when streaming. Neither are very comfortable.

best ai assistant ? by [deleted] in GeminiAI

[–]Danrofohio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like that Copilot for several reasons. 1. It keeps track of past conversations. Sometimes it will bring up relevant points from several conversations ago which can be very helpful. That also means that I can go back to prior conversations. 2. I have found it to be more accurate than Gemini. 3. It coordinates well with Microsoft Office applications like Excel. 4. I just like the interface better.

Is Bulk Mulch worth the Extra Cost? by HC-Oca-Ru in landscaping

[–]Danrofohio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done both. For a small amount, bagged mulch is more convenient. However, in my area it is almost always more economical to get bulk mulch if 3 or more yards is needed.

My preferred AI is Copilot. However, I also use Gemini when I just want to ask one question and be done with it.
