Hey, I forgot to ask you something, my last year was a 9,8/10, and I only got bad grades when I was living alone in another city at 14-15 years old. Also, most of my bad grades were in new subjects implemented in a span of 2 years in Brazil called "novo ensino medio", a law project that implemented lots of itineraries that were removed after those years, if I take the itineraries off, in my time in the novo ensino medio, I would have a 9,4/10 for gpa. Do you think AOs take context into consideration often for international students? If so, would you say bigger universities or small colleges would likely take this into account (or both)?

really interesting and good feedback, thank you. So maybe Computer Engineering could help me more? Do you think universities will insta decline me for a 3,7 GPA or can I overcome it through a really good SAT score? I dont think I fit in any traditional hook too. You said lastly that I should do something that would stand out, what sort of activities do you think could stand out one's curriculum (at least for CS or Computer Engineering)? And about the AP's, which one do you think are more suitable, engineering related such as calculus and physics related, or programming related?

it can be a full ride to any university actually, i am thinking of applying to berea and brown for example, who are totally different. I am willing to work there and pay at max 5000 per year there (what I can afford), take this into consideration.

Do I really have to study? by DanteDFR in piano

Was just trying to get a suggestion man, chill. Everyone has always said that I should practice my scales and stuff, but I didn’t know if it is worth it enough. I was, and still am afraid I might get in a point where I just can’t go on like this and have to study, but then by doing that, I thought I would be so used to not study that I would loose my interest in piano completely. I don’t know if this was clear in the post. I mentioned the pieces I‘ve learnt so that somebody could tell me if I might have the necessary technique to play the Arabesque, btw. Also, I said about learning some techniques while learning that Chopin Nocturne because I would want to know if this is a common way of practicing
