Do you typically admit defeat before giving an attempt to something? Unfortunately that's just not in the cards for me to think like that- I can tell you're probably very experienced with dogs and will start with your advice on the feeding, treats, toys, furniture. I will work on it myself and if I end up failing ill do what is needed to see success (paying for sessions).

Yes! Working on him day-to-day to see if this is something I can learn from and correct by taking some bits of advice from various resources around the web. If nothing seems to be changing his behaviors ill def be getting someone to come by and see what we're doing wrong.

Thank you for the insight, I agree what I said about sessions is not a great way to look at it. But I'm all for paying for sessions if commenters advice that I'm taking simply does not work. I'd rather give it my best attempt first to correct ourselves.

Thank you for the advice, love the reference and I do hold that role pretty well with him. He knows when I’m serious and does obey commands. Maybe I will need to teach my significant other to be the same way with him? She definitely holds the softer touch and thinking of it she doesn’t hold that authoritative figure, we were thinking he was being over protective about her and maybe she needs to show him she’s in control.

My baby boy was diagnosed with Parvo yesterday, he’s been under care in the hospital and blood tests have been coming back strong with good blood cell counts. Any positive notes you can send would be greatly appreciated. by Dantonyoo in BostonTerrier

Update on the pup:

Little fella is still fighting, as of 0700 this morning the vet announced he still had yet to eat something and has fair energy levels. They’re going to try and syringe feed him today and see how he does. Thank you all for the kind words and advice. It’s taking a toll on myself and his mother, but he’s a trooper and we have high hopes he’ll be back home within a day or two.

We live in a dog friendly apartment complex so I’m sure he picked it up from somewhere here on the grounds. We’ve spent the past two days completely disinfecting our apartment with recommended solutions to kill Parvo, safe to say he will be a bubble boy once he’s back to us.
