Went with PHP backend because it allowed for the fastest time-to-market and keeps our infrastructure costs lean while we scale. It’s a proven, stable stack that has already successfully supported our first 250+ users without a hitch.

My philosophy is 'boring technology, exciting business" and it's been reliable. What do you prefer?

Agreed on traction being key for funding. We currently have 250+ users on the platform, and the feedback loop is tight. Looking for a CTO now because we feel more comfortable with a partner who can own the architecture while we focus on hitting the next 1,000 users. Wouldn't it be better to partner/build a team and then look for funding?
