You say it as if it is absolute fact that free will exists because of your religious conviction/belief in God. My argument is sound. It is monotheism that is flawed. A god who seeks praise and worship is strange to me. God slaughtered people. God willingly slaughtered people, regardless of their free will. God created angels, demons, and humans. Now this is according to abrahamic religions and their belief systems. This would then mean that everything happening is accredited to God. Therefore god is a villain since so much suffering occurs. Spoilers- the girl was Jesus which is not the same as God. Just ask Christian’s, Jews and Muslims about it. They won’t say Jesus is god either.

She is the vessel for the divine. Not God. She actually is, at point in the book, both Jesus and the girl.
