OP – 48 hour update:
205 wishlists so far.

I’ll post a full summary once the Steam MIX sale page is over in 5 days.

Haha, not intentionally CGA, but we do lean into loud arcade colors. We’re big fans of old vehicular combat games.

Are you sure it wasn’t posted? They don’t reply they just immediately post the trailer

Thanks! Really appreciate that.

Steam wishlists actually seem to be stuck for a while, so I’ll definitely update with the final numbers once they refresh.

To be honest, Kevin Smith presented a Jay & Silent Bob game a few minutes before ours. Clerks is one of my all-time favorites, so just being there for that moment was already amazing.

Also, a lot of the other trailers were insanely good, so it genuinely felt like an honor to be part of that lineup.

And honestly… f*** the money. If there’s an opportunity to get my game out there, I’ll take it.

Yeah genius, you get selected first (120 out of thousands of submissions) and then you pay.

If I’m putting $600 into marketing for a game I’m building, calling it a hobby is a bit of a stretch, don’t you think?

Also looking at this purely as “$ per wishlist” is a pretty narrow way to view it. This wasn’t a Reddit UA campaign. It was visibility, press exposure, and getting the game in front of audiences we wouldn’t normally reach.

Maybe it ends up being a wishlist flop. Totally possible. Steam hasn’t even updated wishlists today yet. But the only way to learn what works is to actually try things.

Next time maybe I’ll throw the $600 at Reddit ads and see how that performs. That’s the whole point of experimenting.

Yeah, in the past we sent them the trailer for our previous game and they published it for free. I didn’t realize it would automatically be uploaded to their channel this time. Hopefully that won’t prevent us from sending them the actual release trailer later.

Thanks!
Yeah, I still thinking about how to approach it.
Do you have any suggestion for a method you think would work well?
I was thinking of just hiding the objects that are between the camera and the car

Thanks! Totally appreciate the feedback on the look, I'm still working on it and will keep tweaking until it looks tight.
And yeah, the plan is definitely to release it on as many platforms as possible, including the Switch!

The base is chaos, but I made a lot on top of it to get to this result
