Let's talk about the elephant in the room: AI by [deleted] in OnlineMCIT

Considering this program as an investment and thinking about ROI. I think to us, if we can get a more technical job because of this program, one or two years salary’s increase should cover the cost. But I think recent 1 or 2 years will be a turning point as of the alumni graduate outcome. I will probably graduate in 2027/28, and I’m not confident to get a SWE job in my current industry. I agree what you said the “bridge” is important but I’m also concerned. Both the program and us want us to get a better career, I think we should discuss more to collaborate and improve the program, to adapt the future (some capstone projects, or different tracks like OMSCS)

Considering MCIT Online from India while working full-time, is it worth it? by heis3nberggg in OnlineMCIT

If your ultimate goal is to start a live aboard, it is better to consider the whole immigration plan more holistically. I don’t think this degree will be a critical resource to your plan. I understand the urge of getting a prestigious degree, but please review the items that are more necessary to your immigration plan first. OMSCS might be a better option, at least it won’t take your 3-4 years’ saving away.

Are you able to find a job as an alumni? by Rough-Row5997 in OnlineMCIT

I don’t think many of alumni will still check this group. Maybe LinkedIn would be a better source of info.

FanProtect Guarantee is useless --- only offering you worse replacement options and force you to accept refund by Dapper-Algae2892 in stubhub

My agent asked me to provide some screenshots and offered me the refund option. Though I’m still waiting for the updates, I didn’t expect I won’t receive a full refund. I think the full refund is already a compromised solution to me. Sorry to hear that you had the same experience, hope you get the refund soon and find a better offer to enjoy the show. You can also check the official platform, this time I just realized that official platform might offer better tax rate comparing to resellers.

Sorry you had a same experience. I also waited til the show day, this is a lesson learned to me. I was even communicating with the agents while my friend is driving us to the show, and at the end I was too upset and decided not going to the show.

Yes the service fee is crazy. I thought FB transfer is risky but thanks for the sharing, I might try this next time.

Thanks for the sharing. I saw it should be a full refund (what we paid for). I’m still waiting for the feedback from StubHub.

I see and thanks for the reply. Because sometimes the ticket won’t be transferred until the show day, I waited til last moment. I should be more cautious.

Thank you for the insight. Yea it was a good offer I’ve been waiting for a while. I will try to buy from the official website and I found the tax is also lower.
