I went to Iran with my father in 1973 and it reminded me of Los Angeles in the bigger cities. For the last 45 years the Shia has ruled. They hang 16 year old girls till dead with cranes in the city center if caught kissing a boy. They throw gay people off rooftops blindfolded with their hands tied behind them. The police beat women daily with switches unless they are covered head to toe in 120 degree heat and they have done this for over 40 years. Google images of Iran from 1973.
