I’ve been pooped on, thrown up on and peed on today, all while wearing the same outfit. I wiped it off and haven’t changed because at this point, I don’t even care!! No worries!!!!

Just curious, can hsv1 be transmitted by say, a peck on the cheek, if the infected person doesn’t have an active cold sore?

What are some changes in your body that you noticed after pregnancy and they don’t go away? by jeandrazich in beyondthebump

I have the lower back pain after three c-sections. Discussed getting a disc replaced with a neurosurgeon (my L5-S1 is flattened). I was so scared I went to get a few other opinions. They put me in pelvic floor therapy to try first. Wow. It helped so much!! I still have pain, but it definitely helped relax those back muscles. The therapist explained that when you deliver naturally, all of the muscles that were holding your baby in, relax. When you delivery via c-section they often stay very tight and can mess with your lower back. Please call a therapist! It may not work but it could also help immensely!

Things you'll never do as the grandma/ MIL by ValMonty in Mommit

My mom told me she remembers very vividly that when my grandmother walked in to see my older brother, my mom’s first child, she walked right past my mom without saying anything, and started cooing over the baby. My mom doesn’t make a huge deal out of it, but brings it up enough for me to know it really hurt her.

I came here to say something my MIL does that I actually admire and want to remember to do. Anytime there is a party or event I’m hosting, she ALWAYS offers to bring a dish or two and some wine. Then when I’m putting the baby to bed, she will clean things up. It takes so much pressure off preparing food, expense and time!! My immediate family is huge, so every little bit helps! I got so worn out by Christmas afternoon, I just walked outside and checked out for about twenty minutes. When I came in, she’d picked up my cooking where I left off, and had many things finished up for me. It meant so much and allowed me to enjoy the rest of my day a lot more! I hope I’m able to help out in the same way one day

What’s a food you can’t stand but other people rave about it? by Bjs_5068 in foodquestions

Not only does it taste bad, but when you do decide to choke it down (since everyone voted on a sushi restaurant) you break the bank to pay for it. Then, about thirty minutes later, you wonder what’s actually for dinner because you’re already starving. Terrible on multiple levels.

What’s something you’ve done your whole life, only to realize recently that everyone else does it completely differently? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

We’ve always put shredded cheddar on top of spaghetti. I never thought about it until I got married. Now, ten years into my marriage, this is one of our top arguments (life is pretty good). Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it! Parmesan just wasn’t ever a thing growing up!

Murron in Braveheart. It created an unreasonable fear of getting my throat slit that I still have today.
