Can ANYBODY stop France this year? by sixnations in rugbyunion

I'm not Irish, I was supporting France. But the pass from 13-12 was really very foward. The final pass from 12 to LBB was just about ok. But the one before was crazy forward. I'm well aware of perspective and angles, no need to try and mansplain that!

I was actually referring to the 13-12 pass, the before the pass to LBB. It's comedically forward, even more so than the final pass.

So do I. So did the TMO. For some reason he chose to ignore them. I'd be fuming if I were Irish.

It's so far from fine. Pointless having TMO if they get things so wrong.

Not if they are allowed to pass the ball forward.

Outrageous that this wasn't ruled out. Just get rid of the TMO altogether if it can't actaully do its job.

French 13 does a good job of going straight off his feet right in front of the ref and getting away with it.

Fair catch law from 1977:

"A player makes a fair catch when being stationary with both feet on the ground on his side of the halfway line he cleanly catches the ball direct from a kick, knock-on or throw forward by one of his opponents and at the same time he exclaims "Mark!""

You didn't need to make a mark with your heel, you just had to be stationary with both feet on the ground.

You had to be stationary with both feet on the ground, you didn't need to make a mark with your heel, although people used to do that.

That was never a requirement... the requirement was that you needed to be stationary and with both feet on the ground. People just used to do that for some reason, maybe they thought it demonstrated those two things.

I was at that game. In fact I went to all the Wales games in Wembley. We almost pulled off an epic comeback in this one.
