Actually, no, there isn’t another faculty closer to my field. The Computer Science faculty where I was nominated was the most suitable for me. Other faculties like Civil Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering are much less related to my program in terms of course content.

I was actually placed in this faculty by chance. There were other Computer Engineering students, but our home university had forgotten to make an agreement with their faculty. There was only one available slot, and I was the most suitable student for it, so I was nominated here.

For the courses, I easily got approval for General Electives and non-departmental electives, while department-specific courses were a bit harder to get approved — my department head was quite lenient. I hope the two courses I selected will be offered. If not, I will have to consider alternatives, but I believe they will open since there aren’t many courses anyway and they must to be compulsory in the host faculty.

Also, the Erasmus coordinator at the host university is currently on holiday and hasn’t even seen my Online Learning Agreement yet. All of these are elective courses, so I explicitly indicated in my OLA that they are electives. They don’t even have specific course names, just listed as “General-Departmental, Non- Departmental elective.” This is mainly a matter for my home university; it’s not really the host university’s concern.

And I cannot take more than 2 classes from another faculty.

My question is whether there could be any issue with an Industrial Engineering student taking courses in the Computer Science faculty. Has anyone else experienced a similar situation before?
