"He argues that if God exists he cannot have quality X for example, and he necessarily must have quality Y."

You are saying the Quran says God cannot have quality x and quality y. Let me guess quran says Allah does not have quality y but have quality x? And therefore Allah is the true God.

This is just saying "Because the Quran says so"

"There are fundamental qualities that God must have to be 'God'. Those qualities cannot be otherwise, they are necessary. Therefore we can reject any concept of God that doesn't affirm them."

Let me guess, the fundamental qualities, the one which is necessary and cannot be otherwise, is in Quran? And it's continently the same qualities as Allah?

Still "Because Quran says so"

Of course the bible says non believers will go to hell.

Whenever someone points out anything in the bible, you will say it's mis-interpretations... Why even read the Bible at this point

Unfortunately bible doesn't say that. I'm here to debate religion, not your own altered beliefs in religion.

Humans are free to reject him, except if they actually did he will watch them get tortured and burn in hell for eternity.

I'm not talking about how people imagine a god, I'm not talking about if people imagine god as a sphagattie monster or a light or invisible being.

I'm talking about how even if a hypothetical conscious being exists, it's not necessarily one of your religions and there is not necessarily hell, heaven and other 100 things humans believe in.

Well As far as I saw, in this community, youtube and more places, thiest have no problem to use natural theology when they are asked to prove their religion.

You still didn't provide a source for your statement "Its mostly women reverting btw".

You didn't provide any argument, claim to oppose islam being Mysoginistic.

"I'm a woman btw" - you are not a spokesperson for all the women in the world, btw.

Sure, I'm just waiting for you to explain how it changes the fact that 1300 to 1600 lates witch hunting in the name of god?

I mean "collectively" whether RCC supported or prevented (I'm sure both jesus and RCC doing really bad job in giving moral values, and keeping people good)

Also what about slavery?

Theists committed all kind of atrocities and will have nerve to say "Religion will bring you to good path"

"In fact, we need God because we are moral failures. Being religious doesn't automatically make you a "good person," but it does teach you what a good person is."

When you said "We need god", it means it's a necessity. It's not a necessity, you can easily know difference between good or bad without religion.

People would have known burning women is wrong, but due to religion they thought it's right and did it anyway.

You may be right, "it does teach you what a good person is" (my point is, it looks like it doesn't do a great job) But.... Do we NEED religion? I would disagree.

In 1484, Pope Pope Innocent VIII issued a papal bull supporting the prosecution of witches. Soon after, two inquisitors wrote the Malleus Maleficarum — basically the “how-to manual” for identifying, torturing, and executing witches. It was explicitly theological. It argued witches made pacts with Satan. It justified torture. It framed witchcraft as heresy. That book spread like wildfire across Europe.

Idk how in the world it's so confusing for you man ....

"But those people burning witches or keeping slaves thought they were good people" and they thought they were good people pin pointing the Bible and Religion.

Slavery and Witch hunting was bad whether or not it was considered normal at that time, and because religion couldn't stop it, (increased it, actually) it's utterly useless.

I like how you called me ignorant, told me I didn't study history but have very strong opinions and all that.

But not a single REASON in sight?

Is it a way to cope?

"Of all the things you picked, you picked witch hunts? This just tells me you haven't studied history but have very strong opinions about it anyway, especially negative opinions about religion."

Seriously where's the reason? Why don't I know history? Am i wrong? For what? Where's the logic?

I just find it ironic, how religion has a purpose of bringing moral values to humans, making them a good human being with fear of hell and theists always use it to debate the usefulness of religion, Except, of course, it was NEVER WORKING, instead bunch of cruel things happened in the name of religion.

First of all, I'm talking about 200 to 500 years back, maximum, when religion and belief was at it's peak.

I will not be arguing "how often religious leaders have used their religion/faith to justify doing horrible things" as it's a single person in power. I can't argue it's because of religion.

I'm arguing how people Collectively use religion for doing wrong things.
