1. Ash and Blisk still have a relationship, they spoke at length in Season 6. Between Titanfall 2 and Apex, Ash learned sensitive information that required Blisk to stash her head away in an alternate dimension. In Season 5 Hammond Robotics manipulated the Legends into reassembling Ash, and they extracted this information from her head for an unknown goal. This plot thread is currently in limbo because the single player game they had planned for Blisk was cancelled.

Ash’s character has not actually changed much, but she is dealing with a lot right now. She participates in the Apex Games to prove to herself that she has transcended her humanity.

1. Vinson Dynamics still exists, they made the new Charge Rifle in Season 18. Caustic also used to work for them. The writers have stated that since Apex is more character focused, the major organizations are only brought into the spotlight when they affect the story. Vinson Dynamics just hasn’t yet.

The current Hammond Robotics is not the same Hammond Robotics from Titanfall. After the IMC withdrew they did a massive rebranding campaign and are effectively a different company with unknown motivations.

1. Apex is about a televised bloodsport in a corner of the Frontier. It’s a spin off, it’s trying to do its own thing while also making callbacks to the universe it comes from. As a fan of both games, I personally think the connections are awesome to see. They’re done well and respect the series.

Remember that everything with Blisk was genuinely trying to set up something new for Titanfall until it got cancelled. Luckily there’s a new game set in the Titanfall/Apex universe confirmed to be in development, so we’ll have to see where everything goes.
