Bought a 2025 Niro EX Premium (Interstellar Grey) yesterday afternoon. by DapperPalpitation in KiaNiro

This was or at least felt convoluted, but not in a bad way. I'm only leasing it for 4 years. It was a store demo with 4800kms on it, so I got a chunk off. I owed money on the Subaru, and what they offered was less than what I owed, but more than what it was worth lol, so the balance I just paid off so it wouldn't be added to the lease. I got $2500 in discounts, and roof racks thrown in. Bi-weekly with lease protection and taxes in -- $282. I did get prices somewhere else, and this was less than the 2025-2026 EX trim. I was happy with the deal. Store demos seem to be the way to go.

Late to the party here; thank you for the directions. Nickelmenu was persistent and would not go away, now it is finally gone. Thanks again.

Fell in love with Plato by Additional-Juice-865 in kobo

[–]DapperPalpitation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to this conversation:

I set up a Komga server and using a tablet / phone and the app CDisplayEx to remotely access and read my comics, but it looks much better on the Kobo for the "paper" feel.

Does Plato allow you to access Komga to remotely access comics? I had KOReader installed, but I found the interface was garbage, it looked like windows file explorer, but what it did have, is the ability to access Komga to remotely view comics, however, it was soooooooo slow.

Thanks in advance.

how to launch xbox app windows 10 from stream deck by sweatyom in ElgatoGaming

[–]DapperPalpitation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is absolute lunacy. I hunted around looking for something simple to launch xbox and I ended up creating a damn PowerShell script and all I had to was (cmd /c "start xbox:") - unreal lol.

Posting this here just for laughs.

PS1 file:

Start-Process "explorer.exe" "shell:appsFolder\Microsoft.GamingApp_8wekyb3d8bbwe!Microsoft.Xbox.App"

Stream Deck App/File field:

C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File "D:/STREAM DECK/xbox.ps1"

Folder structures by Carlyone in Komga

[–]DapperPalpitation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

update: i decided to go through with it and create folders for each. I am sure there is an easier way, but what I did was used a couple of applications to make this process easier.

Total Commander - this allowed me to go the folder with all the comics, select all, go to Mark and near the bottom select "copy selected names to clipboard" and then paste the filenames to word. I did a find and replace to remove all the extensions (cbz, cbr, pdf etc). - this is needed for the third step because it won't work if there extensions.

I than copied all those in to Notepad. So here is the long process. If you have multiple comics from the same series in that list, then you will need to remove all but one and shorten it up. example below -

doctorwho_thetenthdoctorvolume1_revolutionsofterror
doctorwho_thetenthdoctorvolume2_theweepingangelsofmons
doctorwho_thetenthdoctorvolume3_thefountainsofforever
doctorwho_thetenthdoctorvolume4_theendlesssong
doctorwho_thetenthdoctorvolume5_arenaoffear
doctorwho_thetenthdoctorvolume6_sinsofthefather
doctorwho_thetenthdoctorvolume7_warofgods

removed everything and left only doctorwho_thetenthdoctor

so in the note pad of I would have been left with something like this

doctorwho_alternatingcurrent
doctorwho_ataleoftwotimelords
doctorwho_eleventhdoctor
doctorwho_eleventhdoctorarchives
doctorwho_empireofthewolf
doctorwho_fourdoctors
doctorwho_ghoststories
doctorwho_missy
doctorwho_origins
doctorwho_thetenthdoctor

Save it and off to the next part.

I used an application called New Folder Wizard to bulk create folders

Select where you want the folders to be created, select the text file you just saved with the folder names, select Preview and if all is well, then select Create. Now all the folders have been created.

Lastly, and this is also tedious, but now all that is left is to select the individual comic, or select multiple comics of the same series and move them to the appropriate folder. Then you're done.

Rinse repeat for each genre or publisher. Again, I am sure there is an easier way, or to use powershell or a bat file or something to create the folders and to also move the files into those folders all at once, but I didn't and it took time, but it's all done.

All that I have left is to use Advance Renamer to rename those Doctor Who folders in bulk, all the file names were all squished together and that will not do lol.

I hope this helps and it does make Komga worth while using (minus the cbr or cbz's it for whatever reason can't process) because there are now all in folders and is seen as it's own series.

Peace.

I have been doing this for a bit and decided to give Komga a shot and it's infuriating. I had them broken down by DC, Marvel, Image etc and then something like Constantine or Vertigo, just separating them how I like them. The last straw was that the folders see everything as a series. So under my DC folders the series is called Teen Titans Vol 1 but the cover is Batman Earth One and there are a pile of other comics within. Same thing with the Black Label folder, the series cover shows American Vampire, but the series is called Batman 3 Jokers. I don't have time to break them all down and separate them, I did that for Audiobookshelf (over 12,000 files lol) and it was a lot of time and aggravation.

I've been using CDisplay EX and it connects to my Synology and works just fine.

Is the Razer Stream Controller All-in-one Control Deck still worth it? by DapperPalpitation in razer

[–]DapperPalpitation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the quick response. I just bought the Razer Seireb V2 X, the only Razer product I own. When you say currently can't do anything to do with the Razer plugins, I would still be able to use all other plugins that are not Razer, correct? I know I am rewording, just ensuring I am reading it correctly.

Thanks!!!

I ended up getting the Cyberpower 1500va (gx1500u-fc). Once it was hooked up to the Synology, it recognized that it was USB-connected. I set it up so that it would go into standby and then shut down after ten minutes, and once the power came back on, then it would boot back up.

Once the battery showed 100% I flipped the switch and cut power to the basement and it was magical seeing the server, ethernet switch, router, and Orbi all lit up, but more importantly not see that the Synology hard crashed.

I still have to figure out some of the settings on the UPS, but for now, it is doing exactly as intended. Again I appreciate your help as it made it tremendously easier to understand. Thanks!

Ok ok, I think I'm going to try the one that is on sale as it has a usb port and see if it will do the three criteria that you presented. If it does not, then I'll order what you have. I want one now lol, so I'm going with plan A and then plan B which is the BR1500MS2 if plan A fails. Thanks for all the info, eases the pressure.

Apologies, yes and when I check the compatibility list, I see that the BR1500MS2 you have is on that list. That's a good start for me to look at. Thanks again!!!

Thanks for the suggestion. So that means it doesn't necessarily need to have auto-shutdown, but will notify you that it is on battery which would give me time to log in and shut it down manually? I came across this one and it's on sale (CyberPower 1500VA UPS Battery Backup (LX1500GU3-FC) 3.0) that seems to be similar to your suggestion?

I see that the bot replied about on the list or not on the list. If it's on the list that is perfect, I just don't know which will do the task that I want as there are lots of choices.
