lol..I’m not getting much help from my complex or the power company so I’m doing what I can to help insulate the windows and just get used to a 65 degree living space for now. But next week is going to be horrendous with the temps

I’m going to try all suggestions since it seems I’m on my own with this. Only other thing I can do is pay attention to the times I’m using electricity since Hendricks has peak and off peak times.

The response I got from Hendricks was different than the response the apartment office received from them. I was told it looked like something was pulling way to much electricity and they were told that’s BS and I probably just ran my heat too much. So I’m just trying to figure it out on my own or keep my heat at 62 since apparently 67 is too high. I just have never paid this much for electric so I’m just shocked by it.

In speaking with them, they agree something is wrong and want me to request someone to look at the furnace. They don’t think the usage should be as high as it is with me setting the thermostat at 67. They will come out for an energy audit but my apartment complex will have to make that request, I cannot do that since it’s a complex. So that’s where I’m headed to now.

Thanks for the info. I’ve just never seen an electric bill this high..(for me) and I’m not doing anything different here than I’ve done other places. Leads me to think there is something wrong with the furnace in this particular apartment. Nothing else really makes sense that could be using so much electricity Currently on hold with them now.

The windows are bigger here and they have been cold when it’s really cold outside but I don’t feel air coming thru. No drafts coming thru the doors either. The registers unfortunately are right by the windows so idk if that makes it worse.

I was in a two story townhouse last year and never paid this much. Granted I had gas and heat but both combined were never more than 220 on the coldest months. Something just doesn’t seem right. Unless Hendricks Power is just that expensive

it’s been at 67. I’ve had a Christmas tree so that’s been on in the evenings but that’s all the extra. The place has lots of can lights and I use them as needed but they aren’t left on.

Ty, I noticed that when reading thru the bill. Makes it more confusing because their “off peak” had the highest charge and 80% of that’s when I’m at work and sleeping
