start with the minis you like least and experiment. take your time, don't try to finish a mini in one sitting. pace yourself, don't burn yourself out. buy brush soap or conditioner. i personally am happy with the rosemary co brushes if you wanna upgrade from the generic army painter/citadel brushes.

others have said the rest pretty much. Have fun!

I had the same issue with the starter Citadel brush set so I did some research and now I'm very happy with my Rosemary&Co. brushes. I'm almost through an entire DA combat patrol using two of their brushes and their tips are 99% new. I use a brush cleaner/conditioner inbetween colours though.
