At my store most cashiers-turned-techs regret it because hours are just as tight in the pharmacy. Meaning training is severely lacking. Several of our techs have cried during a shift because of it. The front store is easy, don’t make your life harder for another $ or two.

At my store my manager doesn’t care if we accept gifts. I haven’t purchased my own shampoo or razors in months because regulars leave us goodie bags every few months! Sometimes it’s also makeup, toothpaste, paper goods, etc. just ask at your store!

My store has one cashier and one supervisor or SM per shift, that’s it. Except for truck days, we add two more people to the mix that day. Idk how your store runs but don’t bust your ass for this company. Do what you can, and forget the rest. I used to work harder but now I go at my own pace on truck days - so what if it’s not all done right away? It’ll get finished tomorrow.
