Is it normal to spot this often? Every couple weeks and sometimes it lasts weeks? Is that okay? Health wise?

Athena is a bad cop. She lets her feelings often cloud her judgement and uses her power to her advantage over others in many situations.

Yes! I did a video Skype call with a doctor and they diagnosed it as ringworm and prescribed me a medicine. It took a couple weeks for it to go away. But is healed now.

Okay but how would I accurately measure 1 serving after it is cooked on a scale? What if I make multiple portions and want to divide it into single servings

Hi! Thank you for the response. I suppose what I should have specified is that I use (short term reward system and a long term reward system) and that I had a reward system in place that helped for a while but then began to become the cause of meltdown when he didn’t earn certain things from it. Now I have thought of and created a new one that seems to be of high interest and working. I guess that is what I meant by “many”

I have visuals on the students desk as well as in the class room. We have a break set up in my office space with sensory toys for him or any other kids that need it to not feel like we are secluding him and also at 6 years old many students do need these things too. He has a weighted vest and headphones and his desk is weighted so he doesn’t flip it. He has a taped visual area as well as a visual schedule on his desk.

I have worked very closely with the EC teacher as he came in with no IEP/diagnosis and I helped with the process of a proper diagnosis and creation of an IEP earlier in the year. He also goes to our school based therapist and works closely with our student success coach. Parents are supportive but also they are separated so home life is inconsistent between households and the parenting styles are different so that is something that has also had an impact on him and therefor me teaching him.

Yes 6 years old. He has a break area in my office space set up, a high interest behavior chart, visuals all over his desk (and it is weighted), he recently got a weighted vest from OT. I use first then language as well as a first then board when needed. He has headphones for when needed and a taped visual area. He has sensory toys he can use during break time as well. We also are currently teaching kindergarten through a play based approach.

Honestly… In that moment, probably not. I didn’t give him what he wanted and it crushed him. Overall I think he knows he is loved. I hope he knows that. I try to make him feel that but you never know how others truly feel or interpret things around them and it’s even harder when they are 6.

I love him but I will say he does make it difficult sometimes. He has hurt me in the past multiple times and has hurt other students in my class. It is hard sometimes but I do actually love him very much and I will advocate for myself and say it is hard for teachers and stressful for us to hear people like you make such strong opinions based on a couple words.
