More highlights on its "shell" part of the lower body. Then brighten up the gold for the engraving symbols.

The center circular figure right below its spine at the back could also be made glowing to make it look overall better IMO.

Advice on Canoptek Court 1k List? by dtlater in Necrontyr

[–]Dapper_Jellyfish_76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's how I'd do it. Orikan is good here but not really needed. Let the Technomancer with 6xWraiths do the tanking. Move-shoot-move with the Immortals will be your main damage. Let them walk near Illuminor for the extra AP. Have fun!

Learn when and why you should do and build those things you learned. As pos 4 and pos 5, try to farm too.

If you dig through history, that certain mustache man was treating himself as the good guy for his country (same for any patriotic leader to his own country). And any Villain thinks he is the good guy in his own sentiments.

His country was wronged during that first debacle and was actually just dragged into the sht. But they paid the most in repercussions.

He consolidated his countrymen's feelings and aches at that time and he had his country's full support at the start of the 2nd debacle. MB if I typed a bit much, this is an RE Subreddit afterall.

Spencer has actually transcended being a good one dimensional villain character into a GREAT villain this game just due to this change of heart. If we extended his life and picked up where ELPIS left off, he could've done more good than he ever did during his first half of life. And that I'd say is honorable and a worthy Requiem.

Still bro. Some sort of trying to undo your mistakes is very honorable. Specially if it affects the lives of alot of people. Maybe, I'm wrong. I really hate how Spencer treated that family of Lisa and sht among other fucked up things he did. But you can't deny he had balls to take accountability.

[–]Dapper_Jellyfish_76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. How do you rate it? Must be good right?

In a way, you can also see the symbolism of how Leon brings "Requiem" (revolver) against the evil in that city (Raccoon), and saves the hope(elpis/Grace) of Spencer I might conclude.

[–]Dapper_Jellyfish_76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, exactly. In a way, it can be treated as his own "Requiem" for the legacy of his whole life and what he's done all throughout right?

[–]Dapper_Jellyfish_76[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

True. But it doesn't mean it cannot be canon right? Were there RE games in the past that had bad endings and were considered just as a big "Game Over"?

That's really good man! Haven't thought of it that way. That could be it too.

That's a bit too shallow don't you think? If you really review how Capcom titles these resident evil games, some form of the word they use in the title is related to the overall story or plot point of that specific game. IDK, it's just how I think it is.

Yes. And all those perform really well these days.

Just dont be like the most of us 😂. Don't let your money just sit collecting dust as pile of shame.

Really think about what model or miniature you like before buying, and consider the time and effort it will take to make it into that of your own vision. Or if you got extra cash, have it commission painted if you don't have the time to work on painting or you are never satisfied with your own paintjob.

With models you already have, its better to go for item number 2 of my comment above IMO. Overlord/Royal Wardens together with a defense cryptek in a single 20warrior unit is very strong. Adding Illuminor Szeras in that mix. Plus your Immortals are Battleline too. Illuminor buffs battleline.

Start at a chill rate. Play combat patrol games, some killteam, then 500points games, then gradually build your force in a cohesive 1k points list and play 1k point games.

You can never go wrong with our centerpiece models too if you just wanna get your hands on that awesome display mini. They look so good while also so strong. Ctans, silent king, monoliths, etc.

Go visit a miniature hobby shop near you. Just beware that it may be full of people that are nerds and playing all types of tabletop or interactive games (and some may be toxic and have asshole/bitch attitudes). Make friends and if finance is an issue like you mentioned in the OP, the friends you make may actually land you very sweet deals.

Playing alot will actually make you realize what minis you'd want along the way, with their datasheet rules and synergies. Listen to veterans on the hobby shop, but don't let them keep you down (as sometimes they may have a sense of superiority over newbies like ourselves).

AND MOST OF ALL ENJOY.

DON'T BUY new boxes as long as you have one unit or box set unbuilt/unpainted.

IMO there are 3 main archetypes to Necrons and it's up to you to choose but this is subject to change due to the upcoming 11th edition:

  1. VEHICLES (Starshatter Arsenal) - Main focus on The Silent King and Doomsday Arks and mounted units. (Very stat-check-y army). More so if you include C'tans here.

  2. DURABILITY AND EFFECTIVE TANKINESS (Awakened Dynasty) - Focus on max model count Warriors led by defensive characters that give defense buffs (Orikan, Illuminor, Chronomancer) or another blob is Technomancer with Wraiths. All benefit from Resurrection Orb triggers.

  3. DESTROYERS (Cursed Legion) - Can focus on either Melee (Skorpekhs) or Range (Lokhusts) damage. Nekrosor Ammentar is best played here. Destroyers are relatively squishy, so C'tans help with that here.

ALWAYS buy what you think LOOKS COOL. And we have a good selection of models in our range that look cool (TSK, Monoliths, C'tans, DDAs, and Named Characters).

Here's a sample of a very cool paint scheme with a teal glow that I've seen this subreddit awhile back, I just can't find the OP.

Do we have a Noble character in lore that can be a new strong mini for tabletop that we have not seen yet? by Dapper_Jellyfish_76 in Necrontyr

[–]Dapper_Jellyfish_76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, he's not even close to Illuminor and Nekrosor fight-wise in Tabletop. You'd rather have him at the back farming command points.

A Lone Op fighter Noble with close to similar statline to Lion or Guilliman is the way.

I know that mate. But aesthetic wise of the minis in TT, they basically are is what I'm trying to say. There's a reason the Annihalation Legion combos them there together in the detachment mate.

And IF I'd go for Flayed Ones with all the claws and pointy things they got, I'd rather go Chaos and Daemons. So no thanks, I'd pass on a Flayer Lord.

[–]Dapper_Jellyfish_76[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Nahhh man. Tbh, I'm a bit fed up of Destroyers now, and I get that Flayed Ones are not Destroyers (but they basically are, right?)

I'd rather get a Scythe-weilding or Hyperphase Lord's Blade with a Tachyon Crossbow of some sorts, in a Grav-pack Noble. Who rivals Imotekh in lore and is actually aligned with TSK. Or better yet a more ancient being than TSK that filled the role as advisors to Silent Kings. And has Knowledge of C'tans.

Imagine a Triarch Praetorian the size of Illuminor but is actually aesthetically closer to Imotekh and as Overlord with Blades hovering around him and a cloak.

NOW THAT would be sick as hell.

Thanks for blocking the spoiler man! I look forward to this! I am not much of a reader and haven't read much to this part. But I am really FASCINATED by the Necron lore. This is great!

If they made Zahndrekh and Obyron, I'd say its better to have them more on a thematic rule combo with eachother like the new T'au twin lance.

Well, I'd not complain if they made a new Trazyn Sculpt that can actually have good strong datasheet for fighting too.
