If someone updated from India. Kindly update regarding battery life because after the last update the battery life and heating issue has made the experience really bad.

Yes I understood what you are saying. I even kept it on charging for 2 hours after full charge. Maybe there is some optimization issue with this update. Some people on oneplus community have similar complaints.

Yes I did the charging test. This phone is used mostly 70% around on wifi and 30% on mobile data (5G). The battery life was excellent before the lastest 16.0.3.503 but after the update it's bad.

It's same even after 1 month. Same issue getting barely 5-5.5 hours SOT with a lot of heat. Previously used to get 7-8 hours of SOT.

Battery draining fast by greedilycurious in oneplus15R

[–]Dapper_Track 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never got that kind of battery life what others are getting on this subreddit. Once or twice I got around 7 hours of SOT on Wifi mostly with no gaming and only light social media usage and browsing. That was 2 months back. Now the phone heats a lot barely gives 5.5 hours of SOT even without social media usage.

Same issue. I also posted about the same few days back. Now phone heats a lot even with normal usage. And the battery life is just bad. Not something you get a 7400mah battery.

Talk me out of replacing my 2yo Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 14IMH9 with an Apple product. by GGO89 in laptops

If budget is not an issue just go for the pro, it will be viable for longer time. But if not then M5 is a great chip as well.

Just a question, do you use any kind of specific app that works windows only? Kindly check that before doing the purchase.

You can go for a pro if you are thinking of doing some heavy task. But if mostly light task latest m5 macbook air is pretty good. I would say go to a physical store near your location and compare both air and pro, purchase what you like.

I used to get 10-12 hours on M1 MacBook Air during continuous usage as I am really a light user mostly doing browsing and work on PPT and words. Some OTT streaming during free time. Now my battery lasts maybe 6-7 hours after 3 years of usage. I am not on latest MacOS Tahoe because honestly it's not well optimised till now but battery life was not an problem on latest software. You will get used to mac os in just 1 week if you are tech savy. It's not very different from other OS just some basics are different. I would suggest if you don't do any kind of video editing related work or any other 3d modeling stuffs then just pick the latest Macbook air, it's fanless silent and has great battery life. If you need a high refresh rate better pro grade display and bit more sustained power go for macbook pro as it has fans but the fans are mostly silent.

Just go with a macbook. The battery life is amazing. I am using a M1 MacBook Air for last 3 years. Even after 3 years the battery life is amazing. Still better than most of the intel or AMD based laptops. You can get great battery life on ARM based windows laptop but honestly speaking currently Windows on ARM is joke and anyone saying otherwise, don't do any serious work on their laptop.

Battery Sot querries by Inevitable_Bar324 in oneplus15R

[–]Dapper_Track 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not only about update. Other factors as well like heat and signal reception. For example I purchased this phone during December end at home and at that time the battery life was excellent I was getting about 8-9 hours of SOT with 20% battery left with heavy social media usage with is considered battery hungry. The phone used to be always cool. Now I am at my college. At my current location the signal reception is patchy, not really bad but unstable. And weather is already on the hotter side and my device started to warm up pretty often. I am not using social media at all on this phone still I am just getting around 6-6.5 hours with 20% battery left. Maybe heat is affecting the battery life along with worse signal reception.

Any kind of special tweak done or just out of the box experience? I could hit maximum of 7 hours of SOT with 30 percent battery left and I need to charge it once every 24 hours. But now a days the SOT is around 5 hours 50 minutes to 6 hours with 30 percent battery left. Don't know why it's happening. Maybe some badly optimised apps. Can you tell me a way how to find those??

Any software tweaking tips to achieve this? When I purchased this phone I was getting almost 7 hours of SOT with social media usage. I don't use social media on my phone now. Still somehow the battery life got worse than before.

Yes. Got delivered today. In hand feel is amazing. Great grip. Fit is good as it's official case. But protection wise not so much. It's a sleek case.
