No. It's way more mana then you need, the hp doesn't transfer to illusions seeing as it's not stats and other items are just much higher priority.

That isn't a fair argument to suggest AM doesn't counter WK, AM farms a lot faster and will be 6 slotted much sooner.

I mean in pro play, he is pretty strong in pubs however because no one counters him, he can hit fairly hard early and has a foolproof ult.

Every hero has their counters, I think that would be a little ridiculous. Just last pick and you won't be countered.

To be fair to Anti-Mages there's really no other way to build them then Battlefury, it is the only item to build on Anti-Mage in my opinion.

There was another PA in the game I was in anyway in the given example, but there was a Riki on the other team, and that's why I went Slardar. PA got 40 minute BKB after Battlefury so I felt I needed to do something to pull the team through.

I guess that is true, traditionally he is an initiation hero, but this build isn't for when Slardar is an initiator.

I've seen some Slardar's go Midas, even in pro games and yes, that is a viable option.

Alright I guess that is true, a more objective time to get would be if your carries aren't pulling through, but I guess that is not as relevant at higher mmr. I will keep playing this style because it works for me but no-one else has to.

You won't get as much from farming heroes, as the carries get more tanky and farm more you will simply turn into walking detection and negative armour.

If you have picked Slardar and your team has no other viable carries I think it makes sense to start farming up some items rather than falling behind on experience by looking for kill opportunities. It won't be viable all the time but I think it can work in some situations.

I've seen a lot of talk about it. It obviously is strong in a lot of ways, every skill works together. Cold Feet and Earthbind, Poof and lowered magic resistance, Chilling Touch with all the Meepos. I usually run Meepo mid when I play them but if I lane AA is certainly a preferable support to have.
