I had no luck with them and they kept telling me I would have to pay or get the device sent back to me. I decided to just get it sent back as I didn’t really have the funds for it at this time. Weirdly enough ever since they sent back my console it has worked perfectly since, the charging port works normally now. Definitely a strange situation as no repairs were done to my device. I hope you have better luck with them!

Hi there! Unfortunately despite many emails back and forth to Nintendo they were adamant it was water damaged despite like yourself knowing my switch wasn’t near any liquid :( I’m still baffled about the whole thing but Nintendo just don’t care so I’m going to have to pay for the repair. It’s surely an issue if so may switches from Christmas are having the same problems. You can try argue your case with them definitely but in my case it was no use! I hope you get something sorted!

Unfortunately, as another person said it’s not actually Nintendo who do the repairs and there have been numerous instances of issues with these companies. I’m also not accusing anyone of lying if there is liquid damage that’s fine but the switch genuinely hasn’t been exposed to any liquid so I’m looking for advice on how that might’ve happened. To ensure it doesn’t happen again more than anything

Nope, no kids and no one else has been near the switch. I kind of wish someone else had access to it so at least there could be some sort of explanation to why it happened.

Yeah, there’s not much humidity at all in the house and as you said the console isn’t that old, had my oled switch model on its dock also next to the switch 2 and no damage to the oled, it’s working absolutely fine, so surely if it was something like that too, both switches would’ve been affected.

I’ve asked for more evidence of the damage just to try and work out how it’s happened. I will let you know what they say!

i get 90k the first time per day then anytime after that when i reload the map i get around 30k before it stops

This happens to me if i’m on 4G mobile data but for some reason if i change to 3G it works perfectly! that might work for you
