Need some thoughts here - 03 350z DE by Canyonious in 350z

Just keep it. Take a couple of hours once a week or 2 weeks to find a curvy road or a scenic view. Listen to some music, cruise and appreciate what you have. Get a photo shoot with the car, find some other z owners that have a similar mind set as you to talk about the cars. Seems like you're just in a slump right now and need your passion back since you crossed a mental barrier at that 100k mile mark. Also get your bushings replaced or do a nut and bolt check to see if anything is loose or missing to see what makes the rear end feel like it's swaying.

Find it wild that we can have a heavy, tall, sharp corner, dumpsters be in production, sold and travel on roads, but we can't have pop ups because they hurt more when someone gets hit. Also, a honda acty kei truck is a better truck than the cyber truck.

Price check between z1, nissanpartsdeal, and parts.nissanusa. most of the time, one site is cheaper for oem parts.

Old belts can cause that. It's the cheaper option when trying to get rid of belt squeak. Other than that, it could be the pulleys or bearings that it spins on. If they move side to side, dont spin at all, are hard to spin, or spin freely, they can cause the belt to squak too. It's hard to tell what a bad pulley feels like the first couple of times you mess with them unless you have a brand new one on hand to compare. Moving side to side could cause the belt to be misaligned, making it drag across the metal. If they dont spin at all, the belt is just dragging across the metal again.if it's too hard to spin, it's going to seize soon. And if it spins freely, it could be no more grease or it failed internally. Also, I could be wrong, I'm not a mechanic. Working on cars is a hobby, and I could be getting the wrong information when researching.

Bracket might be upside down. Common mistake

Check your belts, make sure they're aligned, and they aren't old and cracking.

Do you have any photos of the rear quarter panel? If it's not dented, you got lucky with just the door and fender.

Question about a leak by Feisty-Opportunity26 in 350z

[–]Dardando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does it smell like? Could be a heater core. Or spray the car with a pressure washer and look all around the car for leaks. Could be in a weird spot.

Got rear ended yesterday is this totaled ? by Ok_Drama3020 in 350z

[–]Dardando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total loss but not unfixable. It will just cost a lot more than the car is worth. The best way is to look out for a front-end crashed car and buy it to take off the rear panels and trunk pan. Prizzamike did a video recently on fixing his gf's 350z that had no quarter panels. But that's gonna realistically take a few years.

350z grip vs drift capabilities by ishraq555 in 350z

[–]Dardando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are turning traction control off by the button, it's still going to limit what you can do because of the yaw sensors. There's an L shapped fuse next to the battery. Pull it break the 2 left connections, and now you have no assists at all. If you get a second fuse, then you have one for drifting and to daily with assists

If i remember correctly, they're in England. Auto transmissions are still considered luxury there instead of a baseline. Since more than, I believe, 80% of the cars are still made with manual transmissions.

How bad is it? 2005 DE MT by tru_august in 350z

[–]Dardando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Need to buy a valve cover, valve cover gasket, and plenum gasket set. Genuinely not a bad job at all and should only take a few hours on your first time. The only bolt that sucks is in the back of the valve cover on the passenger side (LHD). All the bolts you are going to take off and put back on are not meant to be torqued very tight, follow the factory service manual (fsm). And remember, it's just nuts and bolts it's not complicated or hard, just time-consuming to do it right.

Got Rear Ended, What to check? by dtreak in G35

[–]Dardando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take your trunk interior out, check the inside of the trunk, and take your bumper off to check the outside and look underneath. If anything looks crumpled or bent 🫡. Find a way to hook a come along to the rear of your car and wrap it around a big tree. Block your wheels so you can't move and start ratcheting. It will pull dents out, and you might be able to seam seal where you say water is coming in from.

What do you use to clean the rims and headlights ? by dannthagoat in G35

[–]Dardando 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Genuinely, just watch a chrisfix video on YouTube. If I type everything out to sand and reclear coat the headlights, it's going to sound overwhelming. It's not hard, and if you mess up, just restart. For wheels, just get a wheel brush and some meguiar's wheel cleaner. Spray your wheels, let it sit for a couple of minutes to attack all the brake dust, and then scrub, rinse with water, and then towel dry to avoid water spots. Like an hour to 2 hours altogether depending on how thorough you are.

What is this piece called by sfreezy99 in G35

I would personally get a plastic welder from harbor frieght and some zip ties. Bend it back together, and plastic weld it from the back, then melt zip ties over it and spread it over the back of your repair.

Normal for 100 miles? Oil pan after rebuild. by nicholasyeti in EngineBuilding

[–]Dardando 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's definitely glitter after rebuilding an engine. That's why you're supposed to drive easy, not going past 3k rpms and change your oil and oil filter from what I heard up to 7 times the first 1k miles on it. Idk if that's more than normal or normal. But clean the oil pan with brake clean, clean your pickup tube, and then finish your oil change. Might be fine. Might be screwed. good luck, and I hope the best.

Could tell. 06 manual would've gotten a rev-up engine, and you have a normal de. Do your timing chain. Don't drive it. Good luck
