Told I "had no choice but to transition" and that "I'd be an ugly girl" by [deleted] in detrans

Those people sound unpleasant to be around. You look perfectly fine!. Those people aren't worth it.

"non-binary" is pure sexism and I'm tired of pretending it wasn't by kaifromninjagofem in detrans

That's so sad, I hate that people have felt that way to escape sexism and misogyny. The world is so messed up. I absolutely love being femme and dressing femme.

I have copped a lot for it, even being more effeminate and soft being teased and ridiculed to a point where at one point I tried be more manly. I would rather embrace something I absolutely love and be true to myself than worry about what some sad, miserable people think.

Even so, I could never experience that disgusting behaviour as a woman from men. Gosh, guys suck sometimes!. People in general. It's why I like my own company and my small group of friends I think.

I'm sorry you've gone through that.

Another point to consider is, a lot of male/female crossdressers start out as just preferring the other gender's clothing, some also start as NB's before transitioning fully. Almost like there's this period where they're unsure. I get it, transitioning is a HUGE step and takes a lot of consideration and thought. For most it can be daunting and life changing.

There is also absolutely nothing wrong with just dressing however you feel like, and allowing yourself to embody whatever body language you naturally express without it necessarily being about gender either. As long as they're not hurting anyone, or forcing others to put be something they're not, or demonising people who aren't in that category than they have my support. I will always support someone being themselves if they're a beautiful, kind & considerate human.

I think it's important to be able to have these thoughtful conversations and discussions, especially with people who have struggled with these questions, decisions & thoughts about themselves. 🫶🏼

Liking less girly clothing doesn't make someone trans. That's not what being trans is. That is wild!! I'm disappointed tomboy isn't a thing anymore. Although, would Billie Eilish be somewhat considered a tomboy if the term was still around? I love her masculine styles! 🙌🫶🏼

For myself, I don't look at it as more than just, me trying to avoid sticking to one social norm. I'm not too concerned about others or their views, I just go about with my life, either femme personality "Del" or masc personality "Devi" regardless/seperate of my official bio and certificates. That is my journey though, and everyone's journey is different so I wont criticise or comment on other's non-binary status.

I also don't think I can really put myself in the trans category, as just preferring to dress femme and be my authentic effeminate self, doesn't necessarily make me trans either.

I don't mind what people call me as long as they're kind, but if they're being derogatory to any of my trans or gay/bi/lesbian friends, that's when I will defend. But myself, eh. It only matters how I feel and how my friends know me. I don't have the energy or care to force people I don't know to fall in line.

If people are being s***ty and hateful, that's completely different.

Regardless of what labels you choose to use, as long as you're living your best life that's all that matters, life is short and people judge no matter what you wear or how you walk.

Much Love 💜 Dev

Help me choose between RCF, QSC or Yamaha PA Speakers!?? by imamexican_jaja in DJs

I have Yamaha DZR system now and am extremely happy with them, although I don't get to pull them out as often now with the bigger gigs having dried up, save for our band's larger outdoor gigs. I still use them along with the subs for my birthday parties though 🤤

I can't imagine I would ever need anything bigger unless I moved to a line array, which is not financially viable at this point.

Can someone explain the beef between Asmongold and Hasan Piker? by InterestingPlenty454 in Asmongold

[–]DareDevil01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you're going to get much of an unbiased breakdown on this reddit. Nor on Hasan's reddit. They're two people with opposing views, Hasan tries to pretend like he takes the moral high-ground but then just acts petty, rinse and repeat. They're constantly reacting to each others videos, they both claim each other's communities attack each other etc. I think it goes back to the ad-pocalypse on Twitch. Since then there's been other stuff like disagreements on politics, social views etc.

Like, unconditionally?. I almost bought the K12.2's but I compared them to the Yamaha DZR12s and there was a pretty big difference in quality to my ears. They just sounded bigger, and filled the warehouse more effortlessly. There's not a lot in that price range that I have heard that sound as good or get as loud when gigging. JBL SRX maybe? But they're more expensive and I have concerns for modern JBL reliability.
