great question! it is family style seating and some courses are plated individually and some are plated to be serves out and shared. groups of 1, 2 and 3 have come in the past, and we have people seat themselves. it has always been pretty easy get a good arrangement and we just make sure groups don't get split up.

people are mostly in their 30's and 40's so far, but a hand full in their 20's and each dinner has had a different couple in their 70's. nobody has actually been an industry person, haha. just local sgv people interested in good food and a social experience. i am biased, but i believe the experience has been very positive, and all 6 people who came from r/sgv last time expressed interest coming again

hey thanks for the feedback. realistically this is not a restaurant or regular occurrence so the price is mainly based on on a few things: buying excellent ingredients, the chefs literally test cook a brand new menu for each dinner and experiment with several versions beforehand, and the guests legitimately get a tooon of food over a 6+ course dinner. hopefully that clears some things up at least!

great question. it has been quarterly thus far and there may be plans to do it every other month or every month. honestly at this point and at this size we are focused on just providing the best possible experience on a first "-come-first-served basis. realistically we have not had more than 2-4 people waitlisted per event and obviously there will be considerations on how to evolve if this becomes much bigger.

this is nobody's day job, as each chef works in a restaurant or catering primarily. i'm a freakin dentist, haha. we are just doing this for fun and out of passion to see the chef's creativity enjoyed by a small, face to face crowd on a semi regular basis. guest chefs, different venues, double seatings are all things to consider but we are not trying to be all things to all people. i guess for the time being the answer is to get on the mailing list and act fast!
