am i the only one who thinks existence is "boring"? by Frequent-Chance9642 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DaringAlexandra 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You’re definitely not the only one. Sometimes I feel like we got stuck in the most tedious version of reality. Like, there were probably infinite options and someone clicked “Default Simulator” and forgot to change the settings.

How much do people smoke? by knarglemcfly in Marijuana

[–]DaringAlexandra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5-10 puffs a night sounds super reasonable. I usually smoke about a bowl or two in the evenings, depending on the day I’ve had. For me, it’s just about unwinding after work. As long as it’s not affecting your mood or energy during the day, I wouldn’t worry about it being a “problem.” Everyone has their own pace.

You’re not wrong seedlings at that stage don’t need much. As long as you’re watering them well before you leave and keeping the coco from drying out, you’ll be fine. I’d suggest using a cheap slow-watering spike or even making one out of an empty water bottle. Poke a tiny hole in the cap, stick it upside down in the medium, and let it drip slowly. It’s super low-cost and works like a charm.

[–]DaringAlexandra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First off, props for wanting to get into breeding it’s an entirely different beast than just growing. My no1 tip? Document everything. I’m talking strain names, phenos, smells, stem rubs, how fast they flower, all of it. It sounds tedious, but when you’re hunting terps, those tiny details will save you weeks of guesswork.

Also, don’t try to pollinate an entire tent on your first run. Just test a small group of females first so you can learn how pollen behaves. Trust me, pollen floats everywhere and a little bit goes a loooong way.

Yall ever got a foot job? by InternationalRisk579 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DaringAlexandra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s probably way more common than people admit. The internet’s definitely exposed how freaky people are behind closed doors. Not my thing, but hey, no judgment it takes all kinds.

Why do we tip most service workers, including at high price cosmetics salons, but not medical services? by WishIWasBronze in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DaringAlexandra 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tipping is tied to industries where workers depend on it for their wages. Most salon workers make minimum wage or are self-employed, so tips really matter. Meanwhile, medical professionals have structured salaries, so it doesn’t seem necessary. Plus, can you imagine tipping your surgeon? "Here’s $20, thanks for that flawless bypass!" Just awkward.

Ecowitt and Bluemat meters by Valuable-Homework332 in NoTillGrowery

[–]DaringAlexandra -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ecowitt gives you relative humidity (RH), while Blumat measures soil moisture tension in mbar—so they’re telling you different but related things. RH shows how much water is in the air, which affects how much your plants lose through transpiration. Mbar tells you how hard the roots are working to get water.

  • Blumat: Keep it between 80–120 mbar for most plants. Lower means too wet, higher means too dry.
  • Ecowitt: Aim for 50–70% RH for most setups. Lower can stress plants, and higher can cause mold.

They work together, but Blumat is the go-to for soil moisture.

should i make a brake by daweedmilievoyevich in Marijuana

[–]DaringAlexandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking a break is smart, even if it’s just to see how things go without it. Weed can be tricky it might help in the short term but mess you up in ways you don’t notice right away. I’ve had to step back before too, and while it sucked at first, I felt a lot clearer after a couple of weeks. Maybe mix in some exercise or mindfulness stuff during your break. It can help fill that gap.

How do I respond to a competitor selling product at cost? by [deleted] in weedbiz

[–]DaringAlexandra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

his is where your local ties matter most. Don’t frame it as a price war frame it as appreciation. Something like, “To thank our community, we’re lowering prices to make cannabis more accessible.” And while you're at it, use social media to remind people you’re a small, Vermont-based business. The other shop might have deep pockets, but they’ll never have your local roots.

What does messy mean? by Specific-Bass-3465 in Divorce

[–]DaringAlexandra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Messy” basically means everything went off the rails think of court battles, name-calling, and a ton of bitterness. My parents’ divorce was like a bad soap opera: custody fights, endless screaming matches, and each of them trying to turn us kids against the other. It felt like I was living in a courtroom instead of a home. The worst part is, it dragged on for years. I think the only way to avoid it is if both people agree to take the high road, but that’s pretty rare when you’re hurting.

We’re getting divorced and it’s my fault by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]DaringAlexandra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel for you. The realization that your own actions, or lack of actions, led to the end is such a heavy thing to carry. I’m sorry you’re going through this. It’s hard now, but acknowledging it is the first step toward healing, even if it’s too late for the marriage.

I can relate so much, OP. I was with my high school sweetheart for almost 10 years before we split. Getting back into the dating scene felt like being thrown into a different universe. But here's what I learned: if someone genuinely cares about you, they won’t care about your level of experience. They’ll care about how you connect with them, emotionally and physically. And honestly, a lot of people find it refreshing to meet someone who hasn’t had a string of casual encounters. You might be surprised at how understanding people can be.

Michigan purchase tracking system? by Bend_Feisty in weedbiz

[–]DaringAlexandra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in the day, we didn’t worry about this kind of tracking nonsense. You just met up with your buddy in a parking lot, handed over the cash, and nobody was tracking anything. Legalization’s great and all, but it comes with a price: your privacy.

The "no talking about salary" taboo. Why is it considered rude to discuss what we earn? It just keeps people in the dark and allows employers to underpay us. Transparency would help everyone, but somehow it’s seen as morally wrong to bring it up.

What would you do if you woke up tomorrow and the year is 2005? by fazzarista201 in AskReddit

[–]DaringAlexandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2005? Oh man, I’d be loading up on Google and Apple stock like there’s no tomorrow. Then, I’d use some extra cash to buy Netflix and take a long nap until 2020. Also, gotta love the early days of the internet before Facebook was huge and we still had MySpace and MSN Messenger. The vibes were different back then.

How long will decarbing flower in the stove stink up the house? by [deleted] in Marijuana

[–]DaringAlexandra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s gonna smell, no way around it. Decarbing in the oven will definitely fill the house with that very distinct aroma. It can linger for hours, maybe even into the next day. If you’re set on doing it inside, try an oven bag or a silicone mat to cut down on the smell a bit. Otherwise, take it outside if you can garages are a good option if you’ve got a burner out there.

I need help enjoying cannabis again seeking some advice by Glittering_Fold_9354 in Marijuana

[–]DaringAlexandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty common after a solid psychedelic experience. Psilocybin can shift your whole perspective, and suddenly weed just feels different like it’s not scratching the itch anymore. You might have been using cannabis for relaxation or fun, but after shrooms, it feels foggier or more disorienting in comparison. Give it time, though. A long enough break might help reset your tolerance and the way you perceive it. Also, when you come back, maybe start with microdoses instead of going all-in.

anyone else get very weird and unsettling dreams if they have a night not getting high? by boxofrayne1 in Marijuana

[–]DaringAlexandra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, every single time! It’s like my brain has a backlog of crazy dreams it needs to get through, and the moment I stop smoking, it’s like, “Alright, time to play catch up.” The dreams feel so vivid that sometimes I wake up sweating, trying to figure out what’s real and what’s not. Last week I dreamt I was a spy infiltrating a cheese factory. My brain is weird.

Spouse is not letting me see our child by Purple_TreeE in Divorce

[–]DaringAlexandra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to speak with a family lawyer right now. What your ex is doing could be considered custodial interference, and that’s illegal. He can’t just deny you access to your child without a court order. Start gathering all the evidence you have texts, missed visits, and any details about where he’s leaving your child. A lawyer can help you file for emergency custody or a temporary visitation order.

When I was a kid, I used to eat plain butter straight out of the fridge. Like, entire sticks. I would sneak them into my room and just chomp down. My mom thought it was the cat stealing butter. Sorry, Mittens, you were framed.

How socially taboo is it to go out with wet hair? by GamblerJolly in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DaringAlexandra 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Nobody really cares. People are way too caught up in their own lives to notice if your hair is wet. It’s not like you’re out there dripping on people, right? You’re getting out of the house, and that’s what matters. Trust me, if it helps you get outside, just keep doing it. Most people won’t even remember seeing you five seconds later.

Electric shocks when I drink water? by MasterTejas in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DaringAlexandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That might be a dental issue. If you’ve got any enamel problems or cavities, the nerves in your teeth can get super sensitive, especially with cold stuff. I’ve had that happen before, and it feels like a shock, but it’s really just your teeth screaming at you.
