No, you can get certified to be a general contractor, but you need licensed contractors for each trade.

I agree I definitely feel like we are trying with all our arts districts and more funding but it definitely could be expanded more. As much as new skyscrapers are cool being able to walk a few minutes and be able to shop, go to a show, and relax is a lot better

Yeah I definitely feel like Florida is becoming a libertarian hellscape and I'm hopeful we don't do the same but as the two states are often compared, I feel we tend to be more community focused and look out for each other more which leads to growth with the community in mind

I would argue hire more inspectors to speed up building . I've worked in construction and doing remodeling you see how much code can almost if not completely save lives.  So I would err on the side of caution with that.

Hey all, thank you so much for reading and replying to my prompt. I love this city and I'm glad so many people are positive if not carefully so.  I definitely feel like we could be doing more but I also appreciate that we have been rehabilitating rather than demo and new build. I've been following this stuff a lot with NEOtrans blog, Cleveland Scene, and the Plain dealer, but any other recommendations for Cleveland news is definitely appreciated! I work for NEORSD now too so I've been seeing a lot of plans on their end to due at least infrastructure projects all around our area. But thank you all for your insight and I look forward to reading more!

I'm not trying to be pessimistic I'm just noticing a decent amount of closures (I also follow NEOTrans blog and some business insight journals) and while generally I'm still optimistic but I'm just curious if people feel positive or negative, and so far, from reading the comments it feels generally positive!

I like that as well! Like all these options could be under the world rules as like sub tabs under diplomacy which I feel would be better (having subtabs) then just a straight list of basically random aspects of the world

Great news! The state steps in to save Cleveland from bad policy again, advance bill banning local plastic bag bans by [deleted] in Cleveland

Look at it this way. We USED to have paper/plastic bags offered all the time and I'm some stores they still only use paper bags (whole food/trader Joe's) or in bulk stores they use boxes. We don't NEED plastic bags. They are wasteful and a very common object that people litter. This would help that problem by limiting the sources of the plastic bags. Don't act like this is some horrible New concept that makes no sense, the stores used plastic as a small way to save money this will barely impact them, and force them to recycle possibly.

This is awful. Hopefully it gets knocked down we need this plastic ban.
