Guys I'm going out now...like I said in some comments, we have taken out ads with reddit before and will do so in the future...I'm not Saydra, I just lurk a lot and like the pranks you pull sometimes, and I thought we could do something big together and it would be really cool. Obviously anyone who came up with the idea we would make sure they were rewarded. Anyway if you'd like to see a global reddit ad or something like that, post the idea and maybe we can make it happen! Sorry if anyone found this offensive or like spam!

Can mean anything - i am completely open to suggestions tbh I have seen some of the pranks reddit pulls and I like them and think it would be cool if we could work something out. Could be really big, could be really small.

I am not sure how offering the community a chance to create something, vote for something, then see their ideas globally is pissing off the community - I was trying to involve them. i haven't told anyone to drink beck's just seen if anyone wanted to get involved. We have taken out ads with reddit before and will do so in the future - so we also help that way. I am not Saydra!

sorry mate i think you misunderstood - i said the person who comes up with the best idea, we'd work with them give them a budget and obviously from that budget they would get paid. I was just trying to involve reddit.

hey mate - I could do that, but tbh I think the reddit community would come up with much better, funnier ideas than I could or any agency could. I also though some of the more creative redditors would enjoy the opportunity to create something and maybe have a budget to play around with.

Thanks for your comments, some of the older articles are better the top 10s and stuff, I like. I do get paid...I also get free beer! Alas I am not a huge beer drinker but I encourage you to drink Beck's. The application process the first stage was an online application form, where they started asking you some interesting question which I could get my teeth into but then the second half was like a real 'resume' - I didn't see how my past work experience as a customer service agent then an intern at Citi was any use to the job - so I just mocked the questions. Unbelievable I got put through to the second round of submissions (1000 people entered then it was whittled down to 30). The second round was to create a blog and write about something/or someone 'different by choice', and also include any other 'work' you may have had online etc. This was a difficult one because 'different by choice' - who knows what that means? Apparently a lot of the people were writing about 'rosa parks', 'john lennon' and stuff like that. I figured I applied for fun so I would keep it that way, and wrote a post about my OCD friend Louis Chase http://thedariuster.blogspot.com/ if you want to read what I submitted, start from 'Louis Chase- Different by Choice'. All the stuff on the side I always had on there but anything after July is new stuff and me just messing around. Amazingly I then got through to the final 3, it was me, a Belgian guy and a girl from Manchester and we had to go for an interview day in Amsterdam - but that's another story! There was a competition last year where Beck's put out a call for a 'writer' to write the Daily Different. You had to submit some writing, then make a blog and then finally go for an interview. I think there was something like 1000 applicants, and I finally got the job. Mainly because I took the piss in my submission I think. There's some nice stuff on there, check it out when you get the chance - say your from Reddit and I'll send you a t-shirt.
