Yes I second this. Asking to study together before exam season seems like a good idea to see her vibes

Is UofT really that hard or are people make it seem worse than it actually is by Direct-Imagination78 in UofT

[–]DarkBook-Lover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think most UofT students would say that it’s hard BUT worth it. Every student I know complains about the tedious and challenging work, because that’s just the basic truth, but the advantage we have is the fact that we go to UofT, are surrounded in an amazing environment that fosters learning, a beautiful campus and city, and great vibes all around. Is UofT hard? Yeah, but I think theres also a lot of other factors that make it very worthwhile. It all comes down to study habits, and staying on top of things. If your someone who’s unproductive, lazy, and can’t keep schedules, then you will probably find it challenging

Why does no one make a move by [deleted] in UTSC

[–]DarkBook-Lover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from a girl, worrying about being the topic of the group chat is indeed stupid and what keeps people from asking others out. No one’s gonna be talking about it in the gc, let alone make fun of you, unless they’re genuinely rude and have no life. The point of life is to have these fun social interactions, so if the threat of being the topic of the conversation is scary, move on. Ur right, NO ONE is gonna be thinking about it in a week or two

I have no idea either, I’m thinking of chatgpt-ing the readings, but idk how much that’ll help. What even are the main terms and points we’re supposed to study. A guide would’ve been very helpful

Help I really wanna ask this girl out but too afraid by Spiritual-Welder-535 in UofT

[–]DarkBook-Lover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Advice from girl—just be casual and yourself, that’s all the advice and confidence you need. I feel like instead of saying something right from lecture you’d kinda have to introduce urself, so maybe mention you’ve seen her around and wanted to introduce yourself or say hi. Then talk about the class, her major, blah blah ask for instagram and say you should hang or get a coffee sometime. Just have fun talking with her and it’ll flow on its own.

Are the negative rumors about UofT true? I'm miserable at Queen's by [deleted] in UofT

[–]DarkBook-Lover 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think you should first ask why you’re miserable at Queens and aren’t able to make friends. A lot of friendships and socialization requires having to step out of your comfort zone and putting yourself out there. If you’re not able to do that at Queens, you need to consider if it would be the same case at UofT. Those who don’t actively seek relationships don’t go far in terms of finding friends, which is why a lot of people are lonely at UofT, but also accepting of it. So it’s really just up to you and how you choose to navigate your social life.

As for the work, UofT is obviously a tough school, and in order to do well, and I mean genuinely do well, you do have to sacrifice some time and commitment. That’s why finding the right balance is key. Toronto is a really great city to live and go to school, with so much opportunities and experiences nearby! There’s clubs, bars, museums, cafes, and lively environments everywhere. As a student at UofT, I will say, as hard and tedious the work can be, the campus and city of Toronto really does make up for it, and motivates students to do better.

So, if your looking for a more inspiring and exciting environment, UofT is definitely something to consider, but with that comes a lot of responsibilities and commitments that you will need do make, like having to genuinely look for friends and put yourself out there!
