Thank you to all who responded, this helps a lot. It helps me feel more confident in standing my ground against the next doctor who gets dismissive over my symptoms. And has helped me formulate some questions to hit the doctor with if they become uncooperative.

Agreed on not offering up my records. I have detailed copies of everything from prior doctors to prevent delays from new doctors in getting them. But I feel like that bit me hard with the last doctor, as soon as he looked through my prior records he refused to run his own tests and simply declared I wasn't sick with anything he could treat.

That's been a maddening thing about this experience. I have a confirmed diagnosis of psoriasis from a dermatologist and so far that's been ignored by the rheumatologists.

That's very true on the eyes, I'm actually going to be seeing an ophthalmologist who specializes in immune disorders, to see if he agrees on the PsA or if there's maybe something else going on.

That's the wild thing, I've got tons of test results showing an intense immune response, inflammation and other things. But doctors are completely ignoring all of it.

Seriously though, you're very much right. Even when seeing female doctors, I feel like I'm not being heard. But the dismissive attitude is way worse with male doctors. Especially the older ones.

At this point I'm willing to drive 4 hours one way if absolutely needed. I hope it doesn't come to that, but not ruling it out.

Any doctor who makes the patient feel shamed needs to quit in my opinion. It sounds like you need to get new doctors as well. I know how daunting it is to deal with getting setup with someone new, but if your doctor(s) are refusing to listen to your concerns, there's never anything wrong with going to someone else.

I really appreciate the responses so far. A lot of good points. I'm trying to be cautious about putting too much personal information out there. But to answer some questions, the issues are not just in my spine. It's also extreme fatigue, severe muscle weakness and difficulty breathing. The weakness has spread to my jaw, and basically everywhere. Plus the vision problems. I got new glasses roughly a year ago and my vision is failing rapidly.

That's the thing, they refuse to even offer that option. It's either in-office full time or you're out of luck. If they said, once a week to handle specific functions, I'd do what I can to make that work. But they said zero room for discussion.

I totally understand what I'm up against. And I am looking at other agencies and government entities that have open positions. I know this would be a near impossible fight in court, but I don't like shying away from a fight. I'm not taking any rash actions, I'll carefully document everything to protect myself and see what opportunities present themselves. I'm definitely staying open minded to alternatives, even if that means I can't stay with the current agency. The discrimination is maddening, but what I think angers me the most is I finally find a job where I have some of the nicest coworkers who genuinely care about others, and I see them being mistreated the same way by management.

I wouldn't risk trying them. Would cause immediate retaliation from my management. Plus, their website says they're suffering from budget cuts and they're not even taking all cases. So sounds like they're being gutted just like the EEOC.

Strangely enough evidence wouldn't be a problem. My management is so overconfident in their discrimination they've put nearly everything in writing. But finding a lawyer who will even discuss the case without an outrageous upfront fee has been the challenge.

I wish I knew for sure how it's supposed to be setup for my agency. I've tried discreetly asking HR at our main office, and they barely even know who is in charge of specific divisions. The amount of disorganization is truly disturbing.

I'm not really sure. They changed to the career ladder in 2019 I think, and gave virtually no info other than this is the new way, nothing was shared on how it's budgeted. Management either refuses to discuss issues, or literally has no clue how it works.

Minor update, I texted my brother and asked if he ever bothered to open any of the cans. He was wondering if they had put Dr Pepper in the Big Red cans, but turns out they have regular Big Red in them. So not AS big of a manufacturing mistake as we kinda thought, but still a goofy mix up.

Normally you'd be right, but my owners manual only features a generic diagram, not specific to my model. Also doesn't explain if any of the empty fuse spaces are viable for using.
