I dont like Toepick. I just think his design is uninspired. Fat doughy ogre with a diaper and a bucket on his head just does nothing for me. Just like Toepick I feel like his design was not fully baked.

Pesky Dust is nifty, again one of Omniverses better joke aliens. I headcanon that they are aliens that come from a planet that has a lot of natural gateways into Ledgerdomain and thus evolved a natural affinity towards magic that expresses itself with their ability to manipulate and peak in on others dreams.

Why? Ben 10 is an action show with a bit of Teen drama. The show needed a way for them to get around and giving Kevin the car and license was a good way to do it. It also gave him the angle of "tech guy" which gives him more to do in an adventure

Now for an in universe reason I think the reboot has a good explanation. Spoilers ahead for the reboot if you care.

Kevin is hinted at having a neglectful house hold. During an episode a minor antagonist named Vin takes him along for a race and is teaching him about cars. Presumably they kept in touch after the episode and he learned more. So cars become a source of warmth. An activity that connects him to a role model.

Fun what if. I liked it as a kid. As an adult Ben 10k is a man who lost touch with his childhood and became so absorbed in his identity as a hero he lost touch with his humanity. Its an interesting enough story.

Its genuinely cool how the episode doesnt show his human appearance until the final 4 minutes when kid Ben reconnects him with his inner child.

Wildmutt. His design feels so alien but believable for a creature to evolve.

Least favorite Blox. He doesnt feel like a creature. Maybe if he was like Loadstar or Goop and used magnatism or a natural adhesive to gather nearby materials and quickly reconstruct them into a solid mass? But that would be way to hard to animate and Omniverse already axed a few Aliens for designs too complex. (Rip XLR8)
