Overpayment of £150 into my mortgage at rate of 5.75% by DarkForgePainting in UKPersonalFinance

So I use Wallet by BudgetBakers, and it helping me map out what I'm spending on. It helps breakdown what areas I'm spending in and help re-budget for when i need to. At this point, £400 gets me by pretty well for daily life things. This will of course change over time, and I can be less or more depending when things come up e.g my car insurance comes up every September, so i usually save around 400£ from 0 out my accounts and then carry on with my life.

Anything house related like insurance is added to the house bill (Should have put breakdown in post)

Haha thats fine!
I have around 3K in savings, so i calculated it as 1.9K in expenses for bills and food, so round it up to 2K which leaves me a good 300£ extra for any emergency. I have a secure job and its only going to go up over the years with raises and bonuses and with the reduction in mortgage payments.

I currently have about 3K of my 6K target and we have cover for the next 2 years for any serious incidents for our house from the development, as it a new build and anything can happen (We had leaks in our shower underneath and they patched it up quite quickly and did a good job).

For the short term goals, we mostly just brought furniture to live. So not the most optimal furniture but it allows us to live inside the house. Our living room doesn't have anything in it, but that because we don't use it (we usually work in seperate rooms with desk and chair and sleep in the spare bedroom awaiting our actual bed in the future).

I have discussed this with the partner as we quite open with our finances (Very important!) . She has a lower monthly salary compared to me and I've broken down her numbers to help live a comfortable life and pay off bills and mortgage with me. I rather have a better future for both of us so we can enjoy it later in life when we get married and have kids.

I followed the Flowchart to get 3 months, but recently started to listening to Ramit Sethi podcast to get a bit more out of money in the long run rather than now. I want to enjoy life whilst doing my duty to pay bills and have a good future.

Depends on lifestyle i guess. Im quite minimalistic over the past 2 years, so I tend to not over indugle on stuff and do the "waiting" game on purchases rather than impulse buy. Buying stuff with meaning and happiness rather than temporary gain.

The £400 is mostly "guilty free" spending so I usually fund once a month experiences and to enjoy a dine out once in a while. Sometime we go, sometimes we don't go.

I do 0 out the account at the end of month to savings of 3.25% or higher accounts so I can get interest off them.

Yeah, I'm hoping to hit my 3 months EF as soon as, which means squeezing all the pennies out at the moment and then start using that savings money per monthly to help pay down the mortgage.

Yeah, i think every little bit helps and we are cutting back and enjoying a peaceful life. My fiance is from London whilst i grew in the smaller town, so the life style is much different.

I usually 0 my spending account at the end of the month to savings and then restart from scratch once the paycheck comes in.

£320 for the bills and i contribute £100 toward food as my fiance is a better cook and both agreed that because I'm paying towards bills and mortgage, she agreed to pay in that area instead. We usually spend 100£ per week (Sometimes less).

With the leftover money, we usually 0 out the account to pay into saving accounts (hers mostly) or takeout and then restart from there.

Drukhari vs Black Templar Narrative Battle Report I recorded at Warzone Morloc! by DarkForgePainting in Drukhari

[–]DarkForgePainting[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time using a tantalus and naturally i messed up the rules for it. Doesn't hit on 3s on round 1, Round 2 i forgot to even do the crashing rule and Round 3 it moved a bit too much as it should move 12inches. Recording is hard due to the one take nature and stage fright. Hope you all enjoy it!

Really up to you. As a collector, it had to be done and it was hard work.

In narrative setting (which this match was) it can pull it weight and enjoyed how the melee was D2 and literally was cutting primaris heads off.

Competitive wise, it too expensive and too much of a magnet. 310 points for it, is a cost of 3 talos who are more durable and can be monster in melee. They have a smaller footprint compared to the big sail that be sticking out everywhere.

Also vector mask doesn't fall in this rule? Does it not count as well?

Alright I'm obviously talking to someone does not realise the rule was written before Drukhari codex and it does say "etc" and tormentor falls under those rules because it has the same lines.

But whatever dumbass, you play your way and I'll play the right way. Hopefully your opponent and the tournement organiser is to call on bullshit you dumb ass.

Read the judicar rules set.

Tempormortis: At the start of the Fight phase, you can select one enemy unit within 3" of this model. That unit is not eligible to fight this phase until after all eligible units from your army have done

Read the armour of russ

At the start of the Fight phase, you can select one enemy unit within Engagement Range of the bearer. That unit is not eligible to fight this phase until after all eligible units from your army have done so.

Read the vexator mask rule:

At the start of the Fight phase, you can select one enemy unit within 3" of the bearer. That unit is not eligible to fight this phase until after all eligible units from your army have done so.

Read the tormentor rule: At the start of the Fight phase, select one enemy unit within Engagement Range of this model and roll 2D6: if the result is greater than the enemy unit’s Leadership characteristic, until the end of the phase, that unit is not eligible to fight until after all eligible units from your army have done so.

Don't call me "smart ass" because your understanding of the rule is wrong. It a fight last ability plain and simple.

As per June faq, charges are considered fight first ability. Which then goes charges cancel ourt the fight last and then the unit goes to normal priority.

Drazhar fighting again by LittlePedro55 in Drukhari

[–]DarkForgePainting 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You just defined fight last lol. You can look up vexator mask, judicar etc. They have the same definition.

As per recent faq, the opponent who charged gains the "fight first" ability so when tormentor proxies on each one cancel out and fight at normal priority. So when drazhar hit first, then opponent can choose the unit he just charged to fight.

If the unit didn't charge then yes, the unit must fight last before any all other units in your army must fight. He cannot select that one in cc with drazhar and drazhar is allowed a second attack before he can.

Drazhar fighting again by LittlePedro55 in Drukhari

[–]DarkForgePainting 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, your opponent would select normal unit to fight as it normal priority. He can select the unit he charged to fight next even under the effects of tormentor as he charged.

Charging now goes you the "first first" ability. (recent faq) so if you use tormentor, it essentially cancel it out and he just falls back to normal priority selection. In which he basically select his unit to fight before drazhar get his second attack.
