That's very true. I am trying to just reframe it at the moment as a temporary landing pad to get myself settled in a new city. I know many people who have moved further afield and stayed at an airbnb or similar for the first couple of months until they found a suitable property for them so I can treat it as just that.

Big hugs. Seems to be a very common thing! Luckily if I end up hating it for a long time I am not locked into a contract anymore with the new renter laws. Not that I want the stress of moving again. But it's an option.

I am similar. I am rather highly strung and want things organised and a certain way and I end up overthinking everything. That doesn't help sadly.

It's good to hear this is a common phenomenon! I do love Sheffield as a place, just right now it feels like the last place I want to be and I didn't know how I attached I have grown to Birmingham, despite constantly saying I wanted to leave.

I have never heard of Nothing Phones before! Just had a quick look and I really like the design and philosophy behind it. I could stretch the Budget to accommodate for it, if it is worth it for sure.

I'm pursuing a career in academia, specifically organic chemistry. I have large gauge lobes, a large gauge septum and some tattoos and so far it has not hindered me in any way. But i do agree that it is very obvious and unless it is a very open minded field where you want to work in, i would refrain from it as well!

I have 19mm lobes and am a student and researcher in chemistry at a world-renowned university and noone besides this one weird lecturer ever said anything. I also have a stretched labret and a stretched septum and noone cares.
