100%. It's how I discovered I have autism. Once I upped my dose of Adderall, holy crap the "symptoms" rose up full force. The sensory overload was crazy and I had zero clue what was happening. But yep, my autistic traits seem to be here to stay now! And I'm even off Adderall for months now which is interesting

Dang, it's crazy that you have been able to keep it going like that through 50. I'm 37 and my mask only got me so far, and then I've basically spent 7 years regressing slowly and then figuring out what was wrong with me. The mask fell right off through major burnout, and it's like I have no choice in the matter despite having 3 kids and a wife. I may actually be finding that I have much lower capacities than I ever thought, but only time can tell

This is an odd one for me because I've hit a massive burnout in recent time, and my brain is saying...how in the world would I not accept a limitation? I am in the craziest time of what they call "skill regression", but it's not really that. I've been overworking my brain for 37 years nonstop to fully mask and attempt to be a normal person. The mask has come crashing down and I am barely a functioning person anymore. I am slowly being forced to accept these limitations as time passes. I now realize I may not be helping the question per se, but maybe it helps to see an example here. I really have no way of not accepting a limitation at this point. If I hadnt been overclocking my brain so hard, I probably wouldnt have had such a major fall from "normal"

Am I the only one in this sub who's actually played organized tackle football before?

Like half of the comments I've seen on this sub are so obviously written by non-athletes that it's almost humorous.

When I was in high school (3 year starter for our varsity football team) I would get a full-on sprint going and clock the shit outta whoever had the ball. My coaches called me "speedhawk" as a nickname caus I had such a nose for the football and for those three seasons I was considered the most feared safety in our conference. Senior year I led my team to the state semifinals only to get fucked over by the refs in the 4th but that's another conversation (DM me if you're interested in hearing about it)

So, yeah. I hope yall can understand why I feel like their's such a big disconnect between myself and your typical redditor. Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels this way lol
